Is Boma worth it.

I'm staying at AKL next week but we won't have the dining plan. Is Boma buffet worth the OOP $$$?

Very much worth it. The food is delicious with lots to choose from, and the theming is wonderful too.

Welcome to Disney! LOL! We always have the DDP, but tend to add on at every meal. I had to tell my DH that he needed to stop!!!!! The family was getting uncomfortable by his commenting on every price! He spent the rest of that trip saying "It's only money!" LOL!

He took one look at my 6'6" husband and carvd up some more! Buddy just stood there waiting for another piece and the guy knew he was one hungry man!

I'm going to be the lone voice on this one... we were not terribly impressed with it. I'm not a fan of buffets to begin with but DH talked me into going. I didn't think it was worth it. The food was just "ok". I felt like most of my food got cold while I waited in line to get other foods. Since we didn't have a table of 20 people, we were shoved into a small area and everyone standing in line to get food was staring at us while we ate. We much preferred the other restaurant at AKL and would go back to it and pay any amount, in a heartbeat!

You are not alone. I liked it.My DDIl liked it. My DH said it was"okay" and everyone else in the family said they did not want to go again. I think it is funny that Tusker House Breakfast is one of their favs, but Boma is on their forbidden list. Now TH was not my favorite and I would not mind if we skipped it forever. It was breakfast but there were distinct flavor profiles tha mirroed those at Boma.

Just ask him for more.....all buffets tend to give small portions when serving it up to you....people pile their plate high and waste half of it. But if you ask for another slice (or 2) they will give it to you.

Totally agree. Not at all impressed. Love Jiko though.

It is also our favouite buffet at WDW. The soups are fantastic.
