Ok I made all my ADR's about a month ago for our June stay in the world. This is our first trip and I am pretty happy with all my res. I didn't plan any for our last morning, just figured we will prob have enough over the counter credits to eat at the food court in POFQ. Well, I keep reading how good BOMA is and called and got a 9am res for our departure day (perfect time too). Is it worth paying OOP?:confused3

*The only other breakfast we have is Chef Mickey's

Oh my yes it is! Boma is our favorite in all of WDW! Click on my Oct link for a ton of picture. We just did Chef Mickeys for the first time last month (tons of pics in my March link) and we loved it! DH cannot wait to go back there in June for breakfast again!

I don't care for it. It's dark in there and I prefer something a little brighter to start my day.

But I also don't like frou-frou, exotic breakfasts. I'm kinda a traditional breakfast girl: eggs, toast, bagels, ham, potatos, that sort of thing.

If you're up for a more exotic breakfast in a dark place, you'll love it.

They also have some kind of exotic juice of different fruits. It's expensive and I thought it was horrid, so I was mega-pissed about paying for it, but everyone else seems to like it a lot.

Umm....I dont know what Boma you were at but they have a ton of bagels, scrambled eggs and made to order omelets, fresh carved ham and potatoes there

I am not an exotic food type of person and I love it. There are a few more exotic type foods but they have ALL the traditional foods as well. They have eggs, toast, bagels, ham, potatoes that you mention plus french toast, pancakes, omlettes, tons of fresh fruit, and much more. They even have cereal and oatmeal that my son loves! As for the juice, it is called jungle juice and is a mixture of mango, pineapple, and a few other juices. I really like it but they have lots of other beverage choices if that is not something you would like.

OP, I say go for it! It is our favorite on property. Yes, it is expensive but the same as the other breakfast buffets. :thumbsup2

Yes it is expensive, but it is our one breakfast "out" that we do on our trips. Otherwise we bring snacks and oatmeal that we eat in our room to save money- so this is our breakfast splurge and we enjoy it because it is a little cheaper than the other breakfast buffets since there are no characters and the food is yummy.

I love everything there but the bacon...bacon at all the Disney Buffets is just not good to me- paper thin and tasteless.

They have all of the traditional foods - yogurt, cereal, pastries, omelets made to order, eggs, carved ham and turkey, french toast, sausage, fruit etc. Then they also have a few unique things that are delicious and fun to try- and since it's a buffet, if you don't like them you can just go back for something else. If you want to try something new the bobotie (spelling??) and the sausage biscuit dish are both delicious!!! Usually once we eat here we can skip our next meal because we are so full, so it is worth it. And then we head outside and watch the animals on the Savannah to relax our stomachs before we head to the park. If you time it right you can see them feed some of the animals which is fun and the keepers will answer questions.

Have fun!

it is not fru fru.. it has all the normal foods and more! so many pastriesand breads, fruit, meats, yogurt, oatmeal, and then the african style things. Its cheaper than a character breakfast. It is worth it, plus the resort is so beautiful, Id love to be able to afford to stay there! DH and I are fantasizing about our 5th anniversary trip (in 5yr,LoL) and thats where we want to stay!

I am SO glad I just booked BOMA for breakfast! I am super-duper excited now!!! We love Boma for dinner and have never had breakfast there, so this is a "new to my family" place. Cannot wait!!!

Oh, and we're going on the DxDP so our Boma breakfast is at 9:20am and then we're having dinner at CRT at 4:10pm. I figure that's a good span of time between two big meals. And if we get hungry in between (yeah, right!) we can use a snack credit!:cheer2:

Boma is definitely worth it and actually a deal, even OOP. I cannot get that kind of brunch for $17 anywhere near me (Cleveland) and Boma is waaaay better than any thing I've had here.

It was okay. We had terrible service the morning we were there but the food was okay. We like Cape May, WCC or O'Hana's breakfast better though. Boma has so many choices though so I cant imagine anyone not being able to find something they like. For us it was good, but not great.

We booked Boma for breakfast, at 10:30 on a no park day last August. The food was still plentiful and fresh. It was WONDERFUL! It is now our favorite breakfast place :cool1:

While we thought the food was good we had horrible service. Plates never cleared, Drinks never refilled and an overall rude attitude. Not a very nice way to start the day. We did speak with management during the visit who apologized and offered to comp us which I refused as I did eat the food. Just wanted them to be aware of the difficulties we encountered. We will probably go back again at some point but want to give it some time first.
