in the same building where you check into POR? I made adr's for Donalds breakfastasaurus, but the food at boatwrights looks better and we are checking in early.....we are paying oop for this meal, should I just keep Donalds or have breakfast at Boatwrights?

Yes, it's in the same building as the POR lobby. The sweet potato pancakes are very good! :)

I can't tell you if you should go to Donald's instead, because I haven't eaten there.

Boatwrights is in the same building as check in, if you are coming from the check in area, it is down the hallway, past the lounge/piano bar and on your right hand side. It is just before the "food court" type of area.

Breakfast was good and it is convenient if you are staying on the property. I haven't been to Donald's Breakfast, but if you are really wanting a character meal, go with that. It really depends on what you are looking for.

We had a great breakfast at Boatwright's, but Donalds is fun if you're looking for characters. Food is better at Boatwright's. Since I have no children I would vote for the sitdown service meal at Boatwrights. :)

I love Boatwright's for breakfast, the food is really good. I have never been to Donald's, but have read mixed reviews here on the DIS.

Well, the kids would lilke to do it, but we are also doing Chef Mickey's for dinner, so that would be Donalds for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner....I'm thinking Boatwrights might be easier and then we also wouldn't have to get to AK at 8am....hmmm, I'll have to talk to the kid about it...they might be interested in the banana stuffed french toast.
Oh and thanks for letting me know where it is located!!

I'd say that it would be easier to eat at Boatwrights in the morning. If you have other times that you just need a quick b'fast for the kids, the food court at POR has a fairly decent selection of b'fast foods for kids. I have memories of grabbing chocolate chip pancake platters and dragging them back to the room (coffee refill in hand) for my crew.

We will be back at POR again around the same time you are there (8/20-27). If you have any questions let me know :)

Breakfast at Boatwrights is really very good. One of the best meals we had on our trip. Dinner, not so much.

We also ate breakfast at Boatwright's and it was really good. All 5 of us had a great meal. We plan to go again on our last morning before our flight home. I wonder how far ahead I will have to make a reservation? Any ideas?? :simba: :simba: :simba:

I'll be staying there in two weeks (first time at resort) and wanted to try Boatwright's for breakfast. Do I need to make a AR because it gets super crowded or can I just walk up and wait?

Thinking of going up here for breakfast from POFQ. I fancy the banana stuffed French toast - any opinions on what it is like? Thanks. Also, like the previous poster, should we make ADR's? We certainly had to for dinner when we were there in February.

I decided to make a reservation no matter what. The last thing I want to do is have to wait 30 minutes in the morning with two kids to eat.

Well, I canceled Donalds for boatwrights. I think it will be easier seeing how we are checking in anyway and I showed the kids the menu and they like the looks of that banana french toast:) I know that is what I'll get, plus its cheaper than going to Donalds anyway (we are on free dining, but this was oop).

My familly enjoys breakfast at Boatwrights. We've never had ADRs for breakfast and are seated immediately.
