Is BLT Ever Included in BB?

Just wondering if BLT has ever been included in the Bounce Back offers. It is seldom included in the other discounts offered throughout the year.

We are an older couple and we go to WDW 2-3 times a year because it is an easy trip for us. Our trips are short (4-5 nights). We have now gotten to the point that we want to try some of the deluxe hotels that we haven't tried before and basically make the hotel the destination, not so much the parks.

We've never stayed at GF, Contemporary or BLT. We stayed at the Poly many, many years ago and just weren't impressed, and since we live in Florida, I can't get excited about the tropical theme.

Anyhow, since the room discounts (we do Room Only) have been getting harder to come by through recent years, the only way I can justify paying for GF or BLT would be through a bounce back. I know GR is included in BB. We're not interested in renting points, tried it once and nothing was available, and also don't want to have to pay all the money up front or get insurance. We had to cancel two trips this year due to family illness.

BLT is a DVC resort the only time that WDW gets any villas is when a member trades out (not to RCI) and DVC needs money to get what the member wants - so they rent the points, Now BLT is a big resort - so there is probably a few every month.

the ideal of bounce back is EXCESS inventory - so BLT does not have excess inventory. so it is highly unlikely - but you never know until you ask.

Sorry, the bolded isn't true. Disney retains a portion (10%) of all rooms in the DVC properties for cash reservations. I've booked BLT (and VWL) 11 months out from my vacation before through Disney on a cash reservation quite easily.

OP, I do think that BLT is limited in any discounted inventory. I tried to book a bounceback there last December for this coming October and was told there was no availability, though I checked and there were non-discounted cash rooms available at that time. BLT is great from a location perspective, but you definitely have to be willing to pay the price. The only discount I've personally heard of being allowed there was the military discount.

first it is 3 -7% and it is used first for any villas or rooms that need work done - if there is nothing then they can rent. again it is not excess inventory so does not quality for BB.

Pat is correct about the percent Disney owns. It is closer to 3% than 10% and is used for maintenance issues.

I don't believe any of the MK DVC resorts were included in the last BB offer. And they might not be included in the discounted rooms for fall either.
