is Biergarten good for picky eaters?

Do they have other plain meats besides sausage? I read the menu, but I don't know what half of the stuff is..lol. Also I heard seating is far from the actual buffet table. Is it really that far? We don't take breaks, so meal times for us are our break times.

They have rotisserie chicken, schnitzel (breaded and fried pork), salmon with a dill sauce, sauerbraten (sort of a flavored pot roast), and it seems like there was someone carving pork roast the last time we were there.

My favorite is wurst salat, though. I used to eat this all the time when I lived in Germany--it's tomatoes and onions and a ring bologna-like sausage in a vinegar/sugar dressing. Very light and delicious. :thumbsup2

My dd went through a bit of a picky eater phase but even she was a huge fan of spatzle which is a noodle dish and the chicken.

ETA: The buffet is no further from the tables than any other buffet meal that I've been to.

I would say it's good for picky eaters. We ate there with our 5 kids and my parents. In our party of 9, everyone was happy! And everyone still talks about how good the food was. Some tables were a bit far from the buffet, but others were very close. Maybe you could request a closer location when you check in.

I am by no means a picky eater, and I always have a hard time finding food on the buffet I like. Same with my kids when we eat at Biergarten, we only go because my husband loves German food.

My youngest son and my Daughter in law are both pretty picky and they both enjoy it. As it is my son's and my favorite Epcot restaurant they have had several chances to complain and never have.

I don't know how to answer that. I will say that it was the one restaurant I dreaded, but ended up being my favorite of all of our restaurants last time. And my kids - who are terribly picky - loved it.

I think there's a lot of variety and - because you don't know what a lot of the stuff is - you have to be willing to try new things. My favorite thing on the buffet was something I *NEVER EVER EVER* would've tried if I'd known what it was. I don't know what it's called, but it was a mashed potato with saurkraut inside. It was AWESOME! I absolutely detest saurkraut, but somehow they made it work.

As for the distance to the tables from the buffet...I didn't think it was that bad. Maybe *a little* further away, but nothing that would've felt like a trek.

I am a pretty picky eater and don't eat sausage of any kind but I really enjoyed Biergarten. I only tried it because the people I was traveling with were interested and I figured I would just eat salad and dessert but I ended up being really pleasantly surprised!

I really want to try Biergarten, but I am afraid of buffets...

I am a very pickyeater and DH was not looking forward to going there very much (he went because I wanted to try it). We both loved it. I thought the selection was really good and loved the bread. DH tried a little of everything and really enjoyed the large beer. The entertainment is fun to watch too.

I seem to be one of the few who were not impressed by Biergarten. I love all types of food, and am not picky at all... but IMO its way overrated on this site. I only went because of how everyone boasted about how good it was, and as I said, was not impressed at all. I would say that someone who is picky would not enjoy the food there.
