Is BCV starting renovations soon?

I was over on the YC/BC thread and I am a BCV owner, someone asked "when are the new BCV renovations starting, I'd like to go in August?" I haven't heard a thing, has anyone else?

I replied on that thread that I haven't heard anything either. I suspect the person who asked about BCV renovations had no facts to go on, they were just wishing that it would happen because they want to stay in a newly renovated room.

The BCV refurb was announced at the 2020 annual meeting. Nothing has been said about it since, including at the 2021 annual meeting.

Given what has happened with VWL I wouldn't count on it starting at any specific time or even in 2022.

I would agree on this. Based that there was NOTHING mentioned at the most recent DVC annual meeting and no additional details, my guess is its on halt.

Considering the last renovation removed the fans and the jacuzzis, I dread what they will do the next time.

I don't know that it's on halt so much as DVC know they done screwed up by announcing VWL and postponing it repeatedly, so they're now just not going to announce start dates and surprise everyone when they happen.

While I agree with this, I would also expect to see some sort of indication on availability, like blocked out weeks/months, on the dvc website. I think they would hate to have to move people but heck, they have done that before.

I agree! I miss both things, a down-grade in my book! The least they could have done is give us bubbler tubs like others have gotten. I WOULD like to see the pull out sofa changed to the murphy bed set up though

It shouldn't start at all until VWL is finally done and BWV too since that was done before BCV last time.

VWL was refurbished in 2014, which means 7 years was 2021.

BCV was refurbished in 2016, which makes 7 years 2023 and it is actually early. But they did a freakish amount of "refurb" of various levels of actual activity in 2016 so it kind of makes sense to move at least someone to 2022. BWV, BCV, BLT, AKV and Vero are all technically due in 2023.
