We have two kids, one who is about 49 inches and the other about 43 inches. Does baby swap work the same way as at disney, where one parent goes through the normal line, then the other parent can go through the fast pass line? Or can the whole family go through the line, and one parent goes, and the other waits with the kids and then they swap like at the local amusement park.

What about if older DD wants to ride twice, is that possible as well?

No, not like Disney. Everyone goes through the line. They have a "waiting room" for the non-riding parent and child with benches and a tv (often showing ride-themed shows but sometimes cartoons or something else). Once the riders get off, they go in the room and the 2nd set goes out (I was always 1st, but dh said he just told the attendant he was swapping and they took care of him). And yes, my kids were able to ride with both mom and dad. I really liked the system as we didn't have to worry about meeting up later, and unlike some amusement parks, the non-riders had a nice air-conditioned area and weren't just left waiting standing on the platform.

The whole family goes through the queue together. At the end of the queue is the baby swap room. Whoever wants to ride rides, and whoever wants to stay in the swap room stays. Then when the riders return, whoever wants to ride goes and the other parent stays with the baby.

I am hoping to go next year with a group of Dev. Disbled, there will be 2 escorts and 8 of them, if some did not want to go on a ride would the baby room be an option for us so one os the escorts could stay with the non riders and thengo on afterwards ???

You would have to ask at Guest Services.
