my daughter will be 11 months old when we go,and she is on enfamil prosobee. i'm trying to pack as light as i can. do they sell ready to feed, powder or both?

I have seen only the powder at MK and MGM. One can that would typically be around ten, was like 13 dollars. I would definately bring my own. I did I just put the contents of a few cans of powder into freezer bags, that way it was easier to pack. I also took it as a carryon. Just so I was sure it had not been opened or somehow compromised. There is alo a service where you can order and ship what you need, One is nergrocer.com. I do not know the name of the other but it was specific to baby supplies of this nature, Perhaps another poster will know. Good luck.

I ordered formula, diapers, wipes, baby food.....from netgrocer.com. It was waiting at CSR when we arrived.

I never did it at Disney, but I got most of my formula through Netgrocer with my daughter. It was (was, she is nearly four now) competatively priced, delivered on time, and without the hassle of picking up formula at the store (diapers and cases of formula were so bulky! - which you need for packing even less than you need for just hauling from the grocery store to home).

I'd look into ordering (or just buying and shipping from home) diapers and formula to be waiting for you when you arrive.

We went three weeks ago. We just went to Walgreens before getting to Orlando and got those ready-for-use formulas in little 8 oz. cans, and DD (10 months) was fine with that. We warmed them up at the Baby Care Centers, or most of the time she took them as is at room temp. They were about $10 for a 6 pack, and were easy enough to carry around in our bag. I would definitely bring my own, because it's expensive there. But if you don't mind the price then go ahead and purchase them there. I don't remember if they have the specific brand you were looking for.

If you're looking to pack light, I would suggest this great bag I absolutely loved taking to wDW. It's a stroller tote from One Step Ahead, and it attaches to the stroller handlebar. it was nice and slim, but fit diapers, powder, wipes, baby food, and 3 cans of formula. It was great, I didn't have to dig in the stoller basket for anything.

Also some of the formulas come in individual single serve dry powder form. You could just pack what you need each day and only make it when you need it and you don't have to worry about spoilage.

There's an abbreviation list. Good lord, will someone please point me to it? I have been struggling along.....

Kylie&Haley'smom: Warming at the baby center could be done. Jennifer had her first trip after she stopped using the formula but I did use those packets when I went shopping or ran errands.I did not worry with warming her bottles though. When she was hungry she wanted that bottle right then!!!!

If your renting a car just stop outside of WDW proper and get some groceries for the room. I make a list at home, grab a styrofoam cooler and some ice as well. Things like the formula, water, diapers and wipes, munchies, drinks maybe even breakfast stuff will make life easier and save lots of money. If your taking Mears - look into a town car service. Depending on the number in your party it can be affordable and they will do a hour grocery stop for you. I find the savings on food more than makes up for the cost of the town-car. (I have many other reasons for choosing a town car over Mears - but tha'ts another story!).

My sil joined us for a few days last Dec and my nephew liked the formula room temp. She used the new "tubes" of powder formula and brought along a couple baby bottles filled with just the water. When baby was hungry she just added the formula and shook - he took it fine and it was always fresh and ready to go.

Formula: Carnation brand. Single servings of ready made Isomil and similac for $1.50 each. I don't know the price of the carnation brand.

Babyfood: Gerber, .95 cents a jar. Juice, 4 oz size, .99 cents each.

Pedialyte: 4 pack, $11.75

They had small packages of huggies diapers, but I don't know the price.

We took our own water, and cans of powdered formula. I just took bottles filled with water and the powder with me. I mixed it when Kaleigh (8 months) was ready to eat. We also did this at 3-1/2 months.

If you go to the store, try a Publix, not the Goodings at Crossroads. They are very expensive.

We used to measure a single serving of the formula into plastic ziploc bags and then use warm tap water - cheaper than the single serving tubes. Both our kids did all their formula at room temp - or even straight from the fridge (my son is adopted and came home at 6 1/2 months, my daughter was on the breast until about the same time, so we didn't have "newborn" concerns with formula).
