Wow - I tried to book for 2nd week in Nov. - booked - OKW doesn't even have a studio available. What's going on? OKW is my home resort & I never had problems for that time period. I know it's the last week of the F&W festival, but OKW booked already?????? Is DVC getting too many people & do you really have to book that early or are people booking just in case & then cancelling?

My guess would be that it is a little bit, "all of the above."

And the OKW studio point requirements in Nov are very LOW.

I booked a week in Oct several weeks ago and there was no studio availability anywhere but SSR. Bummer.

For the more popular times of the year, I think this is going to be pretty much the norm (only SSR available) for those who book 6 months or less ahead of time.

I consider the less popular times to be January - mid-February, May and September.

Best wishes -

New Jersey's Teachers Convention begins on November 9th, so many NJ public schools have off for lots of that week, and then there's Veteran's Day around then too. If that's the week you want, there's lots of competition!

We wanted to add 10/20 (a Friday night) in a BWV studio at about 6 1/2 months and was a little surprised that there was nothing available. Last year, we booked 11 nights in October about as far in advance, but that was for a 1 BR (but even so, BW view was available for 9 of those nights). So yes, I would say that it is getting harder to book the Epcot resorts for Oct. but other posts make it clear that it is still doable at the 7 month window, esp. if you book day by day, or you can waitlist.

I'm on the waitlist for BCV for the 1st week in Dec. for a 2 bedroom at 8 months out (it's one of my home resorts) - I was also informed VWL and BWV were both full... :confused3

I am hoping for a one or two bedroom at the Beach Club Villas for New Year's Eve/first week of January at the 7 month window. I'm not getting my hopes up though. I'll report back in June, hopefully with good news, otherwise we'll just pay cash and use my sister's cast member discount.

We booked a one bedroom at BWV for 4 nts. arriving 10/4/06, yesterday, and we had wanted a 2 bdrm, but they are all gone so we are waitlisted for that. BCV had no openings for a 2 bdrm and we had to use a few different date choices to even get what we have now. :sunny:

We just booked a week (Sunday-Saturday) at BWV for October 1-7. It was for a one bedroom, and the rep said that every resort had availability (we only checked for a one bedroom) except BCV.

I was psyched to get an Epcot Resort for the Food & Wine Fest!! It is my favorite time to go down!

Now if I can just convince the wife to let me go back for the Funai golf classic at WDW a few weeks after :)

Eric
