Is attendance down ?

I just booked our June trip and made our dinner reservations and got everything I wanted, including HDD, at the times we wanted and the days we wanted. I couldn't believe it.

I think its because of the cc guarantee now. Some ppl dont wanna take that chance

I agree, think attendance is the same or actually a little up. People are just no longer making multiple ADRs at the same time to cover their bets for which park they'll end up at.

A nice positive result of the guarantees.

Walk-ups might be a bit easier overall too.

I noticed the same thing today while looking around on the website checking if I would still be able to get some of the restaurants we might want if we decide on a trip less than 180 days out and was surprised to see so many options available. It was horrible last year trying to book for our Aug 2011 trip.
I'm so glad Disney implemented this change.

... and some people who used to book one per day just don't like the new policy and are not taking the dining plan or choosing non CC-guarantee venues. It's a great policyl, one I have called for in the past, but requiring that you cancel by close of business 2 days prior is too much.
