Is Arthur Treachers anywhere in this country?

Another thread got me thinking......I remember in the 70's an Arthur Treacher fish chain restaurant in my hometown. Well, there not there.


Do they still exist anywhere? Anyone remember them? I remember they were soo soo good. Any fish fast-food chain restaurants in your area?

There's no here in Delaware that I know of.

We used to have them here, but I haven't seen one in years.

Useless trivia: My dad got stranded in Arthur Treacher's during the Buffalo Blizzard of '77.

There is an Arthur Treacher's in the Franklin Mills Mall in Phila. Not that far away from De. depending on where you live. Do a MapQuest to find out how far. Enjoy.

They must be owned by the same company as KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc. because our Taco Bell was closed for refurb last year & when it re-opened it was a TB/Arthur Treacher's combo. I was shocked since all of the others left this area years ago!

ETA: Oops! It's not AT, it's Long John Silver that share with Taco Bell. I don't know what I was thinking. And there's no comparison! AT is much, much better!

There is an Arthur treacher's/Nathan's combo in the food court at the local mall.

in East Brunswick, NJ there is one (located inside of a Miami Grill resturaunt).. my dad loves that place. He was super psyched when I found out that Arthur Treacher played the Constable in Mary Poppins!

I'm so excited now!!! I just saw that there is an Arthur Treacher's in the Manhattan Mall!
I take the PATH train to the Manhattan Mall when PJ and I go into the city!
Oh I know what I'M doing next week...hide the hushpuppies...I'm on my way!

There's one about 1 mile from my house. Never does much business as far as I can see, but then again I won't touch the place with a ten-foot pole. Nasty stuff. I wish they would put a Long Johns Silver instead.

Back when I lived in the boonies, Breezewood, Pa was a half hour drive-and the closest Arthur Treachers. Love those hushpuppies and Lemon Luvs

I think it was about 2 years ago that they removed the one in a local mall (Newport News VA), and replaced it with a Dairy Queen. I remembered telling my husband I had not seen one since the 1970's when I lived in Auburn, WA.

I was just in the Manhattan Mall a few days ago and I think the Arthur Treacher's is gone. the food court used to be up on the 7th level. They have redone the mall and now the food court is on the lowest level and I do not recall seeing Arthur Treachers. Just wanted to give you a heads up before you made a special trip only to be disappointed.

There was an Arthur Treachers in Trenton NJ for a LONG time. I do think its still there.

There was one in Warrensville Heights OH when I lived in Shaker Heights OH. (about one town over).

I kept thinking "Why does that name sound familiar", and there it was Michigan Ave, Dearborn MI. I do not remember eating there, but I guess I at least saw it! I never would have thought about that restaurant again in my life if not for this post!
