It's not listed on some of the refurb lists - so I was wondering if it was open yet or not. Sounds like Fantasyland is a lot of construction walls right now.
Yup- Ariel's Grotto is back open! I haven't had the chance to check out it's new look yet. I know they made it more accessible to the disabled.
JoyMouse, I'm so sorry your daughter didn't get the chance to see Ariel! If that happens again, ask a CM if she's in Toontown...that's usually where she goes when the grotto is closed.
Does it open when the MK opens? I've read in another post that it opens at 10am. We've tried to see Ariel on previous visits, but the line has been longer than my daughter cares to wait. We'd like to get there right at its opening time. It's the last "princess" autograph my duaghter needs to complete her collection.
I think that is right that it does not open with the rest of the park and opens around 10:00. The line does tend to get long because it is so slow moving. Good luck toughing it out.
When we've been there, it opens at 10am, but the line forms around 9:30 or for sure by 9:45, therefore it is very long by the time Ariel starts seeing people. Meanwhile, you're missing out on prime touring time in Fantasyland. I try to avoid it, but my daughter usually talks us into it. It is a nice meet and greet when you finally get to Ariel - very private for your family - we've always been impressed.
Thanks for the info. Cutting into touring time is not really an issue on this trip, since it follows on the heals of a 11/04 trip (won in a local travel agency contest ), and a 10/03 visit. One of our main MK objectives is Ariel.
