Is April 'rainy season'?

We'll be there the week after Easter and I'm just wondering if we should prepare for rain at all. I'm actually hoping it does just to keep the crowds down...

On that note, are rain ponchos easy and inexpensive to find or should we pack our own?

Also, does it generally get quite chilly when it rains? It's still 3 weeks away but I really don't know what kind of clothing to pack for us... shorts, jeans, jackets... all of the above?

There is no rain season in Los Angeles. It rarely ever rains. It is more likely to rain in the winter, but nonetheless winter is still not rain season.

The rarity of rain in Los Angeles is why Disneyland is so empty on rainy days - people are so not used to rain, that they don't go outside and hate driving in the rain.

LA temperatures are unpredictable. Regardless of the day or time of year, it can be 50 degrees at night or 90 degrees during the day. Always bring a jacket to LA, even in the summer.

Typically, unless it is a rainy year (like during El Niño), April is not what we call a rainy season. We may get a rainy day here & there, but most of our rain comes in Jan-Feb, with some in March.

You can get rain ponchos @ DL for around $7/$8, or you can get the really inexpensive ones at Target/Kmart, etc. for a dollar or two. I have these in the trunk of my car in case we need them.

Right now the winds ar up and a storm is in the northwest so that means it may blow over or we may have a storm. You never know it seems. I would bet on tomorrow not being warm but then again I am probably wrong. We have the weather coming off of Hawaii and from Alaska and who ever is stronger wins.:lmao:

Its been pretty dry this season so far, its not like it really ever pours here... Minus the el nino seasons. Just bring a windbreaker and you should be good.

If you're worried about it get some cheap ponchos from the dollar store. They are light weight and compact so it wouldn't be to much extra to carry around if there is a day you get there and the forcast is for rain. We went the first week of February and it rained three of the 5 days we were there. I was so glad I had gotten some ponchos because it was bad at some points.

I have heard that Disneyland will replace there ponchos for free if they rip but I don;t know if that is true or not.
