Is anything special going on June 14-18

We have been trying to make reservations for June 12 - 20 and all the resorts are booked for the weekdays. Does anyone know if something is happening that week that we need to avoid?

I couldn't tell you, but I am interested if anyone else knows. We are going to be there June 6-11 and we've never gone in the summer before. I hope it won't be too unbearably crowded...or hot.

It could be because it's the first week that most schools have ended, and people want to get to WDW before the heat sets in.

It's the week between our spring and summer quarters, and I'm going for the Monday to Friday part. I couldn't get what I wanted for Sunday...booked about a month ago. Will be moving, 1 night BCV, 3 AKV standard...studios. If you waitlist, I hope you get what you want. I'm OK with what I have.

The week before the cheapest DCL cruise EVER!!!

My kids are out on June 6th, I booked for that week AKV Concierge at 11 months and then June 13 DCL sails on a 7 day Western where they dramatically dropped the price on Cat 12 rooms for families of 4 (auto upgrade). This is the first cruise they won't have to miss school.

The cruise sold out and many people are staying at WDW before or after. May not account for alot, but when I called back to add the night of the 12th, I had a hard time and that's a Friday.

P.S. The May cruises were heavily discounted also, so you have those cruisers staying over also.

Just reserved 2 studios for the 14th-19th of June...was plenty of room at Saratoga

I booked a savannah view studio at AKV Kidani for 6/14-20 at the 7 month mark.

I will be just back from VB... moping around, but looking forward to Deb's party.

There is nothing going on at that time of year that changes any usual DVC patterns. Not sure what you tried to book, if studio maybe that is all that is filled and there are still 2BRs or 1BRs left because very often there are openings for those in the summer 6 motnhs and less out.

We wanted a 2bdrm at either AKV or BCV and all are sold out. We have never had a problem with the BCV before since they are our home but this year it seems a lot of people are booking. I wonder if it has to do wth the free points people received for buying and adding on

Exactly what I was thinking! We are huge Star Wars fans and would love to go to one of these weekends in the future. Hollywood Studios will be insane!

By the way, the developer points are for use at SSR.

I would think that the weekend of the 12-14th would be very difficult especially with the change in the star wars schedule making this the only star wars weekend when almost all children are on summer vacation.

I am waitlisted for a BCV 2br on the 17-18th (and will probably try for a discounted cash room or last minute inexpensive point rental for the 19th) and am hopeful that as people realize star wars weekends has been “cancelled" for the adjacent weekend that there will be some cancellations.
