I only need 10 invitations, but all the invitations I have found come in sets of 25, 50 or 100. I'm starting to consider making my own. Did anybody make theirs and want to share?

We did the opposite! I worked for a bank so their printer did our invitations for free but they had a minimum run of 25 and we only needed 6, so I had a lot left over. But I made the 75 wedding announcements! It was a lot of work and half way through I wished I hadn't done it, but fortunately for me DH helped. I used burgundy card stock, printed our announcement in burgundy ink in a pretty font on ivory paper (our colors were burgundy and ivory). I used silver eyelets to make holes at the top and strung an ivory ribbon through that with our last name initial in silver dangling from the ribbon. I also made invitations to our day-after-wedding brunch, but I only had to make 8 of those (we had more people at the brunch than the actual wedding!).

I have seen invitation kits at Target and Michael's so you might want to look at those, they look very elegant.

I made the invitations for my sons' wedding. About 50 of them. I bought a kit at Michaels that had everything I needed in it. I did the invitations, reception card and RSVP cards. It was real easy to do and saved a ton of money! The kits I got which had the envelopes, invitations, reception cards and program papers was onlly $29.99.

Check out their website. The have a wedding section there.

If you go for a custom designed invitation, you can order in numbers that you want. We went with www.sassydesignco.com If you have time, I would definitely look into her for invitations. We did and we got EXACTLY what we wanted!

I made my own! We had about 40 guests, so I made only about 30-35 invitations. I bought a rubber block from the craft store, and used a carving knife to carve images of different kinds of leaves. I went to an online stamp company to get the wording made. I stamped them all on thick water color paper, and used little tiny brads, and paper to make the little flowers on the cards. Then I included a scanned copy of a collage that I made (not shown) that was our map of how to get to the church. We also included written directions, and some people also got hand made invitations to our "unrehearsal" dinner. In the envelope, everything was wrapped in a pretty, and lacey rice paper, and tied with a ribbon.

My advice is to first find an envelope size that you like, and make sure that everything will fit into it. Otherwise you might end up having to make your own envelopes.
As you can see, I also carved this wooden sign for the reception entrance to kind of match the invitations.

I love all of your wedding stuff. It's so unique. You are very talented!

I found some cute invites at Wal-Mart for $4.96 for 16. They are Wilton brand and the package has the directions for fitting it to your printer. Super easy!!!

I added a fews little touches, like some glitter spray to give them sparkle and a ribbon bow the color of my BM dresses. You would NEVER know they are from Wallie World! I have received great compliments on them. I will scan one tonight to show you!

We also got ours at Walmart. I think we paid $15 for 20 of them. We'll print them up ourselves. I figured we can make some extras and frame a couple. It will make a great gift for the parents.

I made my own invites. Try Cards and Pockets. I am not sure of the website but you can order as many as you want I believe.

I am having an intimate wedding next month and an at home reception. I made the invitations for both. For the wedding, I used the wedding notecards that can be purchased from art of disney. And for the reception, I bought them at target for $24.99/50 invitations. It can be done, and cheap! Good luck!

but it was a LOT of work. i sent out 100! it would have been easier and cheaper in the end just to buy the darn things :) but i wanted to make invitations that were so fun, people wouldn't want to miss it! :) I say GO FOR IT ! The more creative you are, the more truly disney you are ;) Walt was a creative GENIUS!

I absolutely love these invitations!! This exactly what I've been looking for. Can you tell me how where you found these and how it you went about ordering them. Did they send you blank materials and put them together yourself? Can you tell me which pieces your ordered? I'm sorry for the million questions, but I really love these! :goodvibes
