This is horrendous!!! I know now why I stopped watching made for TV movies. Yuck.

Aw, Brian, it's not that bad. ;) I love campy disaster movies. I'm planning on watching the second part tomorrow. LOL

The acting and script is pretty bad... I got sucked into it and I'll probably try and catch part 2 tomorrow.

Jess

I think it's funny how bad it is. I couldn't stop watching, and I'll probably watch the second part tomorrow. Bad disaster flicks are fun!

Now I KNOW why I said I'd NEVER go up in that Space Needle!!!!

I miss the old AIrport whatever movies they used to make, along with earthquake and the towering inferno. The CGI for the earthquake sceenes themselves were not bad but overall the acting was horrific and the script worse.

And all the sub-plots that don't add anything to the story?

I'll still watch tomorrow night and be rooting for the earthquake to take away CA:bounce:

Am watching the first two minutes and already hate it.

Of course the fact that I LIVE here may taint that, but the show itself looks incredibly bad.

Give me the POSEIDON ADVENTURE for campy disaster movies any day... ;)

It is quite unrealistic but I sure got sucked into it and will be watching tomorrow night. It reminds me of Towering Inferno and Earthquake from the 70's.

I thought it was crap fantastic! It was so cheezy and bad but so much fun.

I think DH is getting tired of my never ending comentary on this one. We were here for the last earthquake in Seattle (we arrived home from France the night before it happened) and this crap is driving me nuts!

Ok - first of all, was that the worlds longest earthquake???? Second, the first thing on the news here after the last one was if the viaduct was still standing, not a single mention of it! Third, the skyline was all wrong, I like Vancouver well enough, but it sure as heck doesn't look like Seattle. Fourth, they do realize there's a whole state between Washington and California right?!?!

A little research would have gone a long way on this one! UGH!!! I hate it when things are horribly incorrect in movies....... DH is of course loving it

LOL...I love "bad" movies like this, but this one is really pushing it.
I cringed so many times with all the stupid things they said.

Kim...you do want to go up in the Space Needle ....and if you get over this way, I will take you there ;)
It won't fall over, I promise ;)

The Space Needle is great! Now the Alaskan Way Viaduct you couldn't pay me to drive on that thing!! We won't even park under it - DH is highly paranoid of that one!

How about that earthquake that chased the train?
It was like that earthquake was personally after the train. It followed track until it swallowed the train.

They had some pretty good models.

LOL...that is exactly what I said!!
It followed the trains exact path, through curves and all...swallowed it up and then just stopped LOL.....

I loved the match box cars falling off the bridge, oh yeh sooo realistic. ;)

No wonder the Governer divorced that guy, he's an idiot. First he takes his DD wgho has asthma into agiant cloud of dust, then climbs off a cliff to the buried town, then when the car was sinking he opens the window that has gravel coming in it..I was yelling hey idiot, look up you have a sun roof!

It was so bad we turned it off after about 20 minutes.

I thought with the train a few things.

1) Why did the quake chase the train?
2) What idiot kept the train running even after the big quake?
3) Who puts a train over a supposed "fault line"?
4) Why did the quake stop exactly after it chased the train? Why didn't it keep on going?

Yes, also there is a state between Washington and California.. Its called OREGON!

You could tell some of the cars were models, same with the train.

LOL, glad I'm not the only one that noticed how bad the model work was! And yes, I'll probably watch the second part tonight, too.

Glad to see I'm not alone. I kept hoping the teenage girl would get buried. One more whine out of her and I was ready to do it myself!

How on earth do they find actors willing to do such a bad script? But, yeah, I'll probably watch part two.

Roberta

Yeah I also wondered about the train. Was the earthquake on a mission to get that train? Shouldn't it have kept going?

I can't wait to see what bad special effects we are in for tonight.

Well I was atleast hoping for some tidal wave action.;) Of course they left out the fact that if a large chunk of CA would fall off into the ocean, it would generate a tidal wave.:o

Atleast we may get to see a nuclear explosion. Happy fall out, everyone!:p
