Is anyone off on Dec. 22nd?

We are open, but will close around 1 I think. I've talked to a couple people though who are OFF that day. Yes, I'm jealous.

My office is closed the 22nd. However we are open the 26th, and while I am able to take and use a vacation day the 26th, I would have much rather had the 26th off and not the 22nd.

Yes, we're off. The 22nd is a company holiday for us -- it's Christmas Eve observed. Same with the 29th -- New Year's Eve observed.

We get off on December 14 and don't come back until January 3! I love my job...

Nope. My company is open the whole day. But most people take a 1/2 day so it will be pretty quiet after 12 here.

I shouldn't complain though. As of last year, my company finally gave the employees the day after Tgiving off and is paid as Holiday Pay (took them long enough).

We're off the 25th and 26th. Our office will probably close between 2 and 3 on the 22nd. The daycare is closing on the 22nd, 25th and 26th though. Not happy about that. Most businesses around here will be open on the 22nd.

I have no idea, but I"m planning on working a half day on the 22nd and taking the 26th off--one way or another.

Hubby is but only b/c he has a 9/80 work period and that day falls on his off Friday.

He then has off all the following week and new year's day.

His company does this in lieu of floating holidays and in lieu of taking off on all the federal holidays. (during the year he gets only Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day...he gets the day after if it is an off Friday. If it is a work Friday or the Christmas holiday eats up all the extra days, they work the Saturday before to get the time in. But the plant is always closed on both of those days).

If January 2nd is on a Friday--sometimes it is a work day and sometimes it is not--depends on how the off time shakes out earlier in the year. They do know on Jan 1 the year before--the work schedule though).

I am off the same schedule as the kids are off from school- dec 21-jan 2, I am a nanny for a teacher. My husband has no real paid time off this year, contractor, but the company he works for has an off policy for the perm workers. They get the fri off for a half day. You have to work the half day to get paid for the full and if you take a vacation day it counts as a full day off.

He is taking the last week in dec off though. I am trying to talk hime into a disneyland trip, so far no luck though. he seems to think it'll be too busy

I'm off, but just because we'll be finishing our trip to Disney!!!!

Our office is open the 22nd and the 26th. I'm going back on the 26th, just to escape my inlaws, who are arriving on the 24th.

I have to work on the 22nd all day. I also have to work on the 26th. I am hoping they will take pity on us the 22nd and send us home early but I am not getting my hopes up.

We're open the 22nd but I took a half day of vacation that day. We're closed until Jan 2 but I took another 2 vacation days and I won't be back until Jan 4.

My company is off the 25th and 26th, however I was asked to take my holiday on the 22nd instead of the 26th, so I am off. Some of the government agencies that we support are open on the 26th, so someone has to be available to them.

the library is open until 5pm - we only have christmas day off
when the eve falls on a wkday we get out at 1 that day
