Is anyone going Sept starting to totally question their itinerary?!

Or is it just me?! I felt pressured to make all of our AR's instead of waiting until we get there to play a couple by ear... Disney dining told me they wouldn't wait if they were me, so I came up a daily plan, so that I at least knew which parks I'd be where and then made our dining plans for each day.

BUT I was going by the UG and only am using one early morning and it's at MK... the rest we're avoiding by going to different parks. Now I'm thinking that if the EMH works out the first time then... what if we decide to try the others and that will totally wreck our dining AR's! Also, I feel like almost all of our ARs are at resorts, which is a pain to get to and from. Not complaining here, just hoping that my plan is doable and won't be stressful or basically suck! I will post it below for anyone to please offer some advice or info or anything else... thanks. :confused3

9/22
Arrive @ Pop & use CS for dinner

9/23 EMH AM at MK Dinner at Ohanas at 6:20

9/24 Breakfast at CRT 8:10 AM and then hop to DS for day. Dinner that night at Planet Hollywood at 5:30 in DTD.

9/25 Check out of POP, head to AK for day, Dinner at 4:40 at Boma and then head to OKW to check in and relax

9/26 Sleep in, Relax at "new" resort. Have "brunch" at resort & head to MK after naps to have dinner at Crystal Palace and see Spectro at 8.

9/27 DAY to either relax all day, or go to Typhoon Lagoon if we all feel like it. Play it by ear day until 5 PM AR for Hoop de Doo.

9/28 Epcot day. Sleep in and take time getting there, have breakfast at resort first and then have late lunch at Le Cellier @ 2:40 (only time we could get). CS that evening.

9/29 Fav Park Day. Maybe go to one or two different ones. If we have saved an TS's we might go to dinner somewhere (Whispering Canyon??) or just go to DTD. Pack up our stuff.

9/30 Day we leave... but first we have breakfast AR for 8:50 @ Chef Mickeys. Leave right from the Contemporary to airport via ME.

It looks doable. I too always start to question things about a month out. We are going in Sept. too and I'm hoping I haven't been too ambitious in setting our plans either. We always end up cancelling at least one ADR because we are having too much fun doing something in one place and we just can't make it to the place I have us scheduled for. I think it is great to have a plan but okay to deviate when magic is happening. Good luck and have fun.

We have never been COMMANDO disney people...well, until this year..ROFL.

It's totally a NEW thing to have to "plan" where and when to eat etc..., but i'm sure we'll get through it. Alot of our adr's are at resorts also, that's why we're getting a SUV this time. (traveling with a 3 year old and me being almost 8 months pregnant kinda swayed my DH...lol) Having a car will TOTALLY bring the stress level down. I'm really not a fan of Disney Transit.
DD and I WILL be taking the M.E. to the resort while DH gets the car...DD cant WAIT to ride a bus..lol. :teeth:
DH bought me a PASS PORTER for my B-day and that really HELPED alot! Most things are being planned not only around the meals, and the fact that SPECTRO is only 2 times that week, with ONE of those being the night we get in! DH has decided that we have to go to a park the first day :earseek:
We have never done that. but that's what this trip is really all about..doing things we never have done before. HOOP DEE DOO here we come..lol :rotfl2:

Your plan looks doable. Not too stressful. However, we always rent a car, especially to get to other resorts for meals. I have to rework my ADRs today, as my friends and I decided to add a tour to our plans which means moving some of my ADRs around. Hopefully not a problem since they are not popular places. Just keep in mind that having an ADR does not mean you HAVE to keep it...just go to guest services or your front desk and cancel if you change your mind. It's better to have it and cancel, then want it and can't get it....as you saw when making your LeCellier ADR.

LOL!!! I also made my ADR's @ 90 days and when the hours came out for EMH, I realized that I will not be able to take advantage of ANY of them!!! :( Oh well!! That's ok!!! :sunny:

I think your plan looks good. I too always change things a 100 times. Hopefully things will still be very manageable. Remember you are on vacation and to just have fun. After all you will be in teh happiest place in the world.

So we CAN cancel with no penalty??

Unless you put a credit card deposit down you can absoultly cancle with out penalty. If they didnt take a credit card then they will not and can not charge you. There a re a few places that require a deposit or payment like dinner shows, and CRT breakfast.

Looks like youll only have a problem with CRT breakfast and the hoop de doo. I think they need 48 hours canclelation. For the others you can just cancle or not even show up.

Yes! Because all the ADRs are more planned out than last time, it feels a little more confining to a set schedule. Like, what if it is a rainy day on our water park day? I planned for that by having extra park days on our tickets but I'd have to do some major re-shuffling to schedule for a different day. I'm hoping the Fl sun will out most of the time as I've heard it's supposed to!

I am looking forward to eating in more nicer places this time around. We did a few sit downs last time but I like having them all planned & arranged this time.

Your plan sounds good, you have some "relax" time and that's what you need at Disney. Making sure you have time to enjoy the "magic" makes it more special. :wizard: My first trip I didn't have any AR and the next trip I made sure to have at less 3 for a 7 day visit. This time I have 4 AR for 7 day visit. I'll be at Pop the same time as you, plus I have 'Ohanas at 8:20 and CRT at 8:50 on the same dates too! :earsgirl:

ME !!!! :rolleyes1

You don't know HOW MANY times I have adjusted our itinerary (and continue to do.....). At least now ALL my TS meals are booked and set in STONE. It's just now the OTHER stuff that keeps changing... :earboy2:

I made ADR's at 90 days out too, and now I keep thinking I'd like to change some of them around. If it weren't for the ADR's I wouldn't feel so locked into certain parks on certain days. Oh well, I'm sure it will all work out fine. It's just that we don't have anything else to do but second guess ourselves while we wait til it's time to pack!

Oh, and we'll be in MK on Sept 23 too! We've got breakfast at Crystal Palace that day.

Cool that so many of us have so many meals on the same days/different times. I am glad that you all "approve" of my plan...Ha ha!! DH has no desire and I mean NO desire to hear any more of Disney, see anything Disney or have me talking to the walls about anything Disney, so you all are my sounding board. I really thought someone was going to say it's TOO MUCH for a week vacation, but I did try hard to make sure we're not up from dawn til midnight going and doing everyday, I have a 2 & 4 year olds so they will be the driving force - or halting force must days.

Thanks!!

We will be having breakfast at the castle on the same day and time!

I also made ADRs as soon as I reserved our room for Sept. As I continued to look at my itenerary, I realized that some of the times weren't optimal. I called Dining yesterday, and many more times had opened up. I got to rearrange a little, and now feel much more comfortable about my trip. You might want to call and see what else is available now, or wait until you are at your hotel, and call in the morning to see what's available for that day. You don't have to cancel until you know there's something that will work better for you.

Us too! We typically only make about 2-3 advance ressie's per trip, but now have them for every night. Still not too sure about that... It will be fun to try all the food, but it already feels more confined, as I'm not sure I like the idea of planning the whole day based upon where we're eating. On top of that, we're bringing my parents for the first time, so I had to work around trying to pick places where I think they would like, and places that would be fun for us all to visit. They tell me that anything is fine with them, and then when I show them the places and times (which were very limited), she thought some were too late for them :rolleyes1

Also, you're from PA too....that's ironic, huh? I will be the family of 5, DH looking grumpy, DD13 looking like she's 25, DS4 looking blonde and all smiles and DD2 looking blonde and "in awe" of the castle.

See you there!
