I am with you on this, Andrea - the rain is depressing beyond belief and the roads areound here are trecherous at the moment, due to flooding. I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands every morning when I drive to work
The kids are fed up to the back teeth of being stuck in the house and I am fed up of not being able to get any washing dry.
I've had enough of this what happened to the bbq summer we were meant to have.
I brought a slip and slide for the summer in july and surprise surprise it's still in the box.
Starting to think it will still be there this time next year
I must say I'm pretty fed up too, especially as we're not going on a sunny holiday this summer. I've bought dresses I haven't worn more than once or twice (in June, remember that hot and sunny week?). The girls have dresses that they haven't worn, can't seem to get them out of leggings/cropped trousers. As for me, don't think my jeans have seen so much wear. So far it hasn't stopped us doing anything during the hols I just wish it was warmer for more garden/paddling pool fun. The nature of the sunshine/showers weather makes it worse too as they come running in from the garden as soon as that get in a groove with their play
It's just so grey.....
It's utterly miserable here too, but the worst thing for me is that it's really sticky and hot with it. I'm constantly having to unpeel myself from my clothes (and right now there's a lot of me!!!) I'm not sure how much of it is down to being pregnant but I constantly feel sticky, icky and yuck!
Woohoo, I think we might have broken the bad weather curse - woke up to glorious sunshine in Wiltshire this morning and it's not even raining in Bath, for once
Hot and sunny here today and yesterday... The centre had a 'beach party' yesterday afternoon for all the parent and child groups it runs in termtime so it was nice to have the appropriate weather! I prefer it a bit cooler when i'm working but glad of a break from the rain at least.
