Is anyone else waiting for the snow to start?

The icing has just stopped here...we have about 3/4" of ice on the streets and they are saying we can expect 1 or 2 inches of snow on top of it, later this evening. There is an overturned plow/salter on the Interstate......not much else. Good luck out east.....it's headed your way, and it's not pretty.....

Everyone would jump for joy literally...............we just don't get snow here ever.

The forecast here is constantly changing. Yesterday it was 2-10 inches, now 3-5 tonight, 1-3 more tomorrow, ice, sleet, freeezing rain AND continuing into Wednesday!!!!

But who knows what we will end up getting!! I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Here in Greensboro, NC it has stopped snowing and freezing rain is now beating on the windows.

School has already been cancelled for Monday.

Started here this afternoon and within 30 minutes the ground was completely white! I hate this. We just made up a previous snow day this past Monday and now I know we will have to add more I am not driving as long as the roads are like this. I already have one accident and just found out my insurance will be $3,800 a year for one vehicle in Naples, Italy when I move there this summer I can't imagine what another accident would do to that figure.

I'm not happy about the fact that TJ has to drive on these roads to get to work, especially since he's originally from Florida but he reminded me that he has lived in Alaska and Oregon and has lived here in Virginia for four years so he does have some practice. I also asked him to call me later tonight to let me know that he's safe and he said he'd call me as soon as he gets to work. He barely ever calls me in the afternoon (he's usually asleep) so his phone call a few minutes ago actually surprised me but he wanted to talk to me right before he went to sleep.

It started snowing sometime between 3 and 4 here. It wasn't snowing when we went into the gym for Nick's baseball clinic but it was starting to come down pretty good when we left. It appears that there is about 2in of new snow right now. They are forcasting 4-6in I think. I guess Nick will get to use his snowboard afterall. Since I am homeschooling Nick doesn't get any snow days

I am waiting for spring to come.........saw 2 robins the other day, but I think they were lost.....since it was only about 4 degrees.

It's here! It's finally coming down pretty hard out there! I had to escort my dog to the backyard and stand there and wait for him to do his business because he didn't want to go out in it! I love it! (especially since I'm off tomorrow!)

Honeywolf and Sleepy, you guys must've had more snow than us this year 'cause we've hardly had anything at all so far!

After this snow, I'll be ready for spring! But for right now, I'm enjoying the snow!

We're getting quite a bit of snow now too!! Kids are loving it and are snowmobiling. We get "lake effect" snow off of Lake Michigan here. Hopefully they'll only have a 2 hour delay in the morning and wont close......I hate make up days in June.
