I am very interested!! I am seriously considering going on the May trip. It looks like a ton of fun. :) :) And I think it is awesome they visit Hong Kong Disneyland. I wonder why the Paris tours don't visit Disneyland Paris. I also hope that in the next couple years they add a Japan tour!

Anyways, I haven't seen much interest in the Enchanted China tour on the boards...anyone else considering going on this one?? :) :)

We are booked for the Knights and Lights tour, doing the add-on for Disneyland Paris. We are looking into the China one and will perhaps do this one also.

When I told DH about this tour he was very interested! But, chances are that 2008 is out for us since we already have so many other vacations planned (and paid for).

We just booked the Sept 17th trip. The $1,000 early booking discount was an incentive, as was the fact that Beijing will be the site of the Summer Olympics from August 8-24, 2008.

I hope you decide to book the May trip so that we can read all about your adventure! :)

I'm with you, I want to see China so bad. It looks beautiful, and now I've been watching Survivor which was filmed in China, and that makes me want to go that much more.

My problem is if I want to go I will probably end up going alone. I am a member of DVC and will use my points but if I use point that doesn't leave me any points for a friend, and once you add airfare to the cost of the trip boy is it expensive.

Me, too! I just started watching Survivor (I'm a reality show addict!) lol

I'm also with you on the price front...for the two of us with airfare out of Chicago it will run us 11K. Geez! In the end, we have decided to wait on China...hopefully we can go in 2009. We decided that for half the price of this China trip we will stay at WL for 2 weeks next October (2008). Plus, we already have a cruise on the Wonder booked for January.

Not to mention, when we went to book the May trip it was already half full thus canceling out the early booking rate. And in my mind I can't justify paying the extra $1000 each just for being slow. lol!

I do love seeing some others that are interested though~! :)

We just received our confirmation package for the Sept 2008 trip. Just reading through all the material and thinking about visiting those amazing places in China makes us very anxious to go!

Is anyone else thinking about going on Enchanted China or have booked a trip yet?

We received our paperwork for our 09/08 London/Paris trip. We had a tough time deciding between London/Paris and China but finally opted for Europe because I'll be going to China on a business trip. If you're like me, it's going to be hard to wait a year. It's a good thing I'm going to WDW in 01/08 to break up the wait.

Yes, the waiting will definitely be the hardest part! And we know what you mean... we're going to WDW in March!

I would love to go and was also thinking about using my DVC points - but the thought of 23 hours to get there makes me ill. The 8 hour flights to copenhagen annoy me, so I don't know how I'd survive 23 hours.

We know exactly what you mean! That's why we decided to take several shorter flights instead of a single non-stop 15-hour flight from LAX to Beijing. We're flying from LAX to Honolulu, then Honolulu to Seoul, and finally Seoul to Beijing. The longest segment will be 9 hours from Honolulu to Seoul. We're also going in Business & First Class for more room & comfort... Same thing for the return flights from Hong Kong to LAX.

Since you're on the East Coast, I'm not sure what type of itinerary will work for you...

dingoballs - that is a very good idea - I looked into First class and it was $$$$$ - so I guess I need to rack up some more frequent flier miles.

We really want to go to China. The activities planned and the accomadations are first rate! Round trip airfare from the East coast is running about $1100 per person. At least going is a nonstop flight. Coming back is going to be difficult with connections. I think its a great trip, I wonder if they will offer it in 2009? Would need to save up for air fare :lmao:

My question would be what time of year is the best time to go there? Suggestions?

The China trip sounded amazing, but we decided to do Viva Italia and Knights and Lights back to back next year. It will be about the same price but the flights are what really decided it. I would rather wait to do business or first class for China.

Well, based on the dates for next year's trips (mid-June through Sept), it looks like Disney figures the summer months are best. I'm not sure if Disney will offer this trip in 2009. It'll probably depend on the level of interest and any problems they encounter during their trips in 2008. I mean, China is still a Communist country after all... :rolleyes1
