I have to say, I am becoming really appalled at the amount of trouble I am having with dining agents. The 2 previous visits I've had to WDW, the agents were really knowledgeable, had answers to all my dietary questions, were quick and to the point and made sure I was satisfied.... the past 3 phone calls I've had with dining agents have been so bizarre....
The first bizarre experience I had was with a dining reservation I had for HDDR. I contacted an agent about cancelling my reservation for HDDR, because of my vegetarian needs. She told me unfortunately that the menu looks like it mostly is all meat and wouldn't be very accommodating to a vegetarian. With that being said, I told her to go ahead and cancel our spot so someone else could have it. I had a different thread on the boards asking for opinions and suggestions on my dining reservations, and a poster told me about the awesome vegetarian options they offered her at the HDDR...the dining agent I spoke to had no knowledge of these offerings and didn't even seem to care to look into the matter. She seemed confident that the meat was really the options at HDDR, so I took her word for it. Now I'm a little bitter I let the reservation go.
Second bizarre experience was yesterday I called to change my reservation from Tutto Italia to Akershus. The agent confirmed the date and the time of the changed reservation. I log in today to see its a reservation for 4 (there's 2 in my party) at 8pm (the woman told me 6pm) on September 7...I am staying at WDW from 7/7/18-7/14/18...really confused as to how these arrangements got so messed up.
I called back today to ask what the heck was going on, and the agent I was speaking to kept coughing directly into the microphone. I kept having to pull the phone away because she was coughing so loud, and wasn't even saying "excuse me" or covering her mouth to muffle the sound a little bit. She was just freely coughing without any utterance of "i apologize", NOTHING! Lol. Poor thing was probably sick, but I just couldn't help but thinking, "what the heck happened to the dining agents?" In my previous experiences, they were so professional and knew everything off the top of their heads and seemed to be really meticulous and detail oriented. Is the turn over rate really high on dining agents now-a-days? Is there not much training involved anymore? I'm just really wondering why I've had 3 odd experiences in a row.
Am I the only person that is having these experiences????
