Is anyone else gonna watch the Tom Cruise interview tomorrow night?

I used to be such a fan of Tom's, but he has totally turned me off with all the antics from the past year.
I'm sure the news websites will recap the interview, so I'll just read that.

Yep. Saw the commercial last night and the tivo's all set. I don't have any other shows on Friday night, so this will be a nice train wreck!

I, for one, will not watch the tom Cruise interview. I can't stand him and his publicity stunts. I don't care if the man worships Barney the Dinosaur, grimace from McDonalds, or whatever. He should NOT be attempting to be an expert on all things (i.e. childbirth, depression, post partum depression, religion, etc. ). If he choses to be Scientologist, fine by me, but don't cram it down the public's throat.

No, I will not be watching either. I was fuming just watching the preview~!
I will find something else to watch or browse my DIS boards............

I won't watch it.

I heard this morning that Katie has agreed to NOT see her child for 7 days following birth. Apparently the child will only have contact with the nutbags from Scientology.

Way to go, Tom. Now your child will not develop a bond with her own mother. Nice. And Katie ought to be smacked for agreeing to do such a rediculous thing.

Okay people i get it that he has bit the farm, but he still is soo damn cute

I used to think he was cute, but all his antics have (IMHO) taken everything away from his looks. Now I think he's skeevie (sp).

You bet I'm watching ... I am hoping to see more Oprah-esque couch jumping action ... or more Today Show-esque Dr. Tom action. You know he's bound to say something stupidly ridiculous ... who wants to miss out on that?!?!

Hmmmm.....you make a good point there. Maybe I'll tune in after all. I'd love nothing more than to point & laugh at him. :lmao:

I heard this, too! I think it's just insane!!!! Anyone w/a brain knows the importance of bonding w/your baby ASAP!!!!! And, what mother won't want to be w/her baby after birth!? It sounds like Tom's setting her up for major PPD by w/holding that baby!

ITA!!!! I guess, from what I've been hearing on TV, Katie's dad is less than thrilled w/Cruise and the whole Scientology thing.

I also read an article that stated Scientology children are required to hang out w/in the Scientology group so they can be w/kids of their "own kind". The article also went on to say that if immediate family wasn't watching the new baby, some Scientologist would be. So, I guess any nanny that they hire will be a Scientologist to be sure the child is raised properly.

Of course, these articles were in US magazine, so I don't know how accurate they are.

So I guess that means no breastfeeding? Depression meds are bad, but baby formula is ok?
Anyone know the reasoning behind this? It's gonna bug me now. :confused3

WHAT?!?!? Boy oh boy.... WHAT is the point of this?!?!?

He's crazy! He's absolutley nuts and Miss Holmes is going along with this madness.... (Search tomcruiseisnuts on Google .... fun website)

I sure hope he jumps on a chair again!!! YEAH!

Not only can Katie not see the baby... no one can talk to this baby for 7 days.

Sounds wonderful. :guilty:

The baby gets no medical attention for 7 days according to that article???? EXCUSE ME???? I feel so sad for these babies who don't have a chance at a normal life even before their born. I'm sad because I can't watch Top Gun anymore b/c Tom weirds me out. :(

I won't watch it. I'll see Tom at the movies if he's in something that interests me. Other than that, I don't really care about his life.

I couldn't be intersted less in anything Tom Cruise has to say. I don't know when this all started, but somewhere along the line actors's personal lives and opinions on religion, politics, etc. became important to a whole lot of people.

Try making a good movie for the first time in about 10 years, and then maybe I'll listen to you Tom.

Isn't that article from a publication that is similar to the National Enquirer? I keep reading 'I heard' or 'I saw', but where has either of the child's parents confirmed any of the rumours about how they will deliver or care for their child?

I know some Scientologists, and they don't do that. :confused3
