I am going back and forth over what to get them...they paid quite a bit for their dresses and they are getting up at the crack of dawn for the rehearsal and generally being there for me...I want to get them something nice...I'm thinking I will get them canvas bags from LLbean with pink straps...have their name embroidered on each one and fill them with a pink beach towel, pink chinese slippers from Manhattan, a pink bottle of sunscreen and cheesy romance novel... :lmao: what do think? Silly? I was also thinking about, since my last name will be Campbell, doing a tote bag with a Campbells soup can on it and beach towel with the same thing...red chinese slippers to match the Campbells colors... :rotfl: my fiance always rolls his eyes at that one! I think it's cute but the pink bags go with my colors!

last year I got a really nice mirror compact with pink swarovski crystals on it and pearl necklace...really nice, real pearls! But I don't want to do the same thing as one of my bridesmaids is the one who gave me the necklace and the compact...

yeah am I stressing WAY too much over this? I just don't want to be a Bridezilla and I want my girls to know how much I love them and appreciate them...

yep I'm a nut...any thoughts? On the bridesmaids gifts...not on my being a nut...cuz that is a given! ;)

Oh I think those ideas are the cutest and I'm sure your "girls" will appreciate the gifts.

We paid for all the girls dresses and guys tux rentals. So we just gave them little gifts, jewellry for the girls and cufflinks for the boys for the wedding day and then a little snowglobe each oh and the girls also got a little BM teddy :)

The idea of the bags with all the pink is super cute! That's something they'll use over and over too.

Every wedding I've been in (too many to count!) I've gotten jewelry from the bride. Earrings or a bracelet, even a hair clip. I just had a MOH, my niece, and I bought her dress and shoes, and garnet earrings. Post-wedding I put a 5x7 picture of her and me in a frame that I had engraved around the sides "Maid-of-Honor" "Niece" "Friend" and our wedding date. She liked that more than the earrings!

I'm doing a Mickey Tote with a terry wrap with their names monogrammed, flip flops & a keychain & a few other lil things.

I got the totes at Disney Direct on sale for 12.99 each, currently they are on sale for $19.99

I love the idea of the LL Bean tote filled with all the things you mentioned. I think its an adorable gesture.

YAY! I love everyone's ideas!!! I like the LLbean tote too...I'm just hemming and hawing over everything! :rotfl: I was going to get each bridesmaid a pink pearl bracelet to go with her dress, but each bracelet is $50 and I have 5 bridesmaids! The llbean totes are only 24 each...I can do the whole lot of them with monogramming for under 200 bucks...it seems like the best idea to me! And I did want something that can be really useful and fun!

my problem is I always wait and wait to do stuff...mostly b/c my fiance groans over the "wedding" discover card every single month and I feel really badly about it...but then, he does like to fuss, so maybe I shouldn't feel too badly! I'm getting him Mickey mouse swim trunks as part of his "gift"!!! :lmao:

I have to chime in here I am in a wedding this weekend. And I have to say that I would love the bag & towel & stuff. I think it is a useful & thoughtful gift. And if was one of you friends I would also know that you put a great deal of thought into it.

the last wedding we were in we got a nice bottle of wine, don't get wrong it was nice but now it's gone.

This is what we got for a wedding I was in last year. We also got some inexpensive bracelt and earring things that matched our dresses, oh, and a wine bottle stopper.

Then for Christmas this year she gave us each a pic of all the "girls" from the reception for the frame on the left hand side. It turned out really cute.

Great minds think alike! We are doing the LLBean bags too! And want to know whats great? 3 of the girls in my wedding are getting married (and changing their last names) a few months after me, so I am having their new monograms put onto their bags! I think that will be a nice transition into their own weddings!! Those bags are great! I have one in almost every size and I use them for everything!! I am putting in the bags: an earing and necklace set for them to wear the day of the wedding, flip flops, nail polish, sunscreen, and some Disney Dollars to help celebrate the occasion!! I hope they like the idea as much as I do! I think I would love to get this! Anything you can use again and again is a great idea in my book!! :)

I love the idea of a gift I can use over and over. I also think it's a great idea to do the "future" monograms for your bride-to-be bridesmaids! Very thoughtful!! Are you doing the mini totes or the medium totes? I wanted to do the medium ones so I could get their full first names on the bags...mostly b/c two of my married bridesmaids hyphenate their maiden and married names and you can only have three letters for the monograms!

I toyed with the idea of the picture frames too, which are very nice, but they are just so dang expensive and heavy to ship...the bags are sort of fun and so much more me...and since the wedding is pretty formal I wanted to let the fun me out somewhere!!! princess: :wizard:

I think the bags are a great idea! Something useful, but cute!

If anyone's looking for other ideas, I was just a bridesmaid in a wedding in March. The bride is trying to start her own florist's shop, and she did her own flowers for the wedding, which were GORGEOUS! :bitelip:

Our bridesmaid's gifts were a beautiful hand blown purple vase, and a $50 gift card to Michael's. We're all crafty people, so we loved what we got!

I love the pink LL Bean bags idea! Very cute!

I gave the girls red earrings to match their dresses (my matron of honor got garnet and the rest were fake stones) as well as monogrammed terry cloth robes.

I got my step sister these TOTE BAGS and filled it with Disney PJ's, Disney Flip Flops, Goggles for the pool, and cool stuff to do on the plane ride. They are Only 10 & 12. Now my mother wants one. She thinks they are so cute, but for my MOH i am going to do an LL bean tote bag and fill hers with dance stuff (we are dance teachers) MAC makeup and other cool stuff i know she will love.

It didn't post the link.... here it is

I like the idea of a totebag. Can I be in your wedding?? Also, not to knock the mouse, but it's nice that it's not Disney because not everyone loves it the way we do.

Pink sunglasses would be cute too. You can take a picture with all of them with their stuff and give it to them for another occasion.

Have fun shopping!

:rotfl: i'm always looking for another bridesmaid!! My older sister is a bit unruly and I may need to have a replacement in the wings for her!

I was actually just looking at Pink Sunglasses!!! I think that would be fun too. The sunscreen is super important b/c I never miss an opportunity to preach sunscreen...my college roommate and sorority sister died at the age of 24 of Melanoma...she used to burn in the tanning beds b/c it "turned to tan"...she was porcelin skinned and platinum blond...the bottles are specially made with a label that has her pic...(three of my bridesmaids are sorority sisters as well) so that is a really special part of the goodie bag!!!

I was shopping over the weekend at Marshall's and TJ Maxx they both had pink sunglasses. I know they were a name brand but i don't remember which, though the glasses were only around $12. I don't know if you have these stores there but i think that would be a great addition to the bag. Pink is also my favorite color!

Ooohhhh, good idea!!! I never thought about good ol TJ Maxx!!! Now i can tease my sister even more and tell her that since she thinks I'm so hung up on labels that I went to TJ Maxx to get her sunglasses!!! :lmao: Of course everybody elses will be from Chanel!!! :rotfl2: ;)

Totes are a great idea! What matters more than the price of the gift is the thought and I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true (which is why I loathe giving gift certificates though it's what my family always requests for gifts.) Putting in Disney dollars would be a good way to incorporate Disney w/out going Mickey manic. :lmao: Since I'm having an intimate their will only be MOH and BM. The MOH (my sis) is getting something from Tiffanys (I cna splurge since I only have to buy one gift  ). I'm doing totes for our guests (about 20).
By the way, does anyone know how much Disney charges to have the totes delivered to the rooms? I read about someone hand delivering them to the hotels themselves :confused3
