Is Anyone Afraid of GAINING WEIGHT while at WDW? LOL

It comes with the vacation.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I don't worry about it when I'm on vacay I worry before and after.:thumbsup2

I never gain an ounce at WDW, but I usually gain 8-10 pounds in the 2 weeks after getting back. I get used to eating like that and come home and don't do all that walking and poof! more belly.

I know what you mean, when I get back I really miss the desserts, something I never usually eat, except for on vacation.

Maybe I could diet for the next 54 days?

Heck ya I'm worried but is it going to stop me from eating what I don't normally eat at home - NO! I typically eat very sensibly and run 20 miles a week so this will be a treat to eat some "cheat" foods. However, because I eat so healthy and run I usually end up feel sick to my stomach if I eat too many sweets or rich foods. Gotta say no sometimes!! :rotfl:

No way - but I will say all the walking gets me motivated to eat healthy. I do splurge on dessert though!:woohoo:

I am ALWAYS watching what I eat, and I typically work out for at least an hour 3-4 times a week. So, although I used to worry about gaining weight at WDW, I've found that I really don't gain any weight at all. I really don't "go crazy" or overboard with what I'm eating while at WDW. I don't eat whatever I want just because I'm on vacation. I would say that my caloric intake is a bit more than when I'm at home, but it's because I'm constantly on the go when at WDW. The walking from morning till night will allow you to get your cardio in! So, if you just pay attention to what you are eating you will be fine.

I, like many others it seems, worry about it a bit, but NOT enough to ruin my vacation! I eat pretty healthy all year, so on vacation, keep the drinks flowing and the desserts coming :banana:

I picked up a small pedometer at Wal-Mart that I plan on taking this year. I always wonder how much we end up walking per day, so now I will know and that will make me feel a bit better also ;)

In September my DH, DS and myself are going and taking advantage of the Free Dining. I am worried about gaining weight. Since the last time we went to WDW in Sept 08 I have lost 70lbs and I would like to lose another 20lbs before we leave for our trip. The food at WDW is food that we wouldn't normally eat so its hard to resist trying new foods. This time I just need to be strict with my portions and eat healthier.

It's an interesting question. I've been on lots of vacations with my mom from Europe to WDW, and we're always different. In my normal life I work out a lot so when I go on vacation, I always gain weight because even walking over Europe is not enough exercise. My mom always loses weight because she's not used to exercising. But I'm not going to worry about gaining weight because I know I'm going to eat anyway! :lmao: But I agree that the worst is when you come home and suddenly what you used to eat for dinner isn't enough food :eek:
