Is an extended veranda worth $800 for a 4 day cruise?

This will be our first cruise.. we booked 10166 on the dream because of the extended veranda and aft elevator for dining.
Disney now announced 25% off for a Guaranteed Veranda with restrictions.
if we cancel our 5E and switch to VGT we will save at least $800.
Don’t know what to do as we have never sailed before.
Told I have until 3 pm today to cancel with no penalty and rebook
we are paid in full , including insurance and DCL transportation.
What would you do? Party of 3 adults.

Depends on the group psyche - are you social, tend to spend more time at the various lounges, more into the ocean view from the rails of the ship? If so, then don't waste your $$$. We're an older couple so we tend to relax on the veranda in the AM with our morning cup of joe and I nap in the afternoon so the spouse lounges outside with a beverage.

We got upgraded for free to a veranda on our 7 day Eastern on the Magic. We used it, we loved it. But even my "money is no object" kids said it wouldn't have been worth the $1,000 extra it would have cost us to book that in the first place. Our last cruise on Celebrity in October 2019 I did pop for a veranda, but it was only $25 a person more than an oceanview. But that was a off season, last cruise, almost empty cruise out of Vancouver. As I posted elsewhere, they even discounted the deluxe travel insurance to $25 a person to get people to book.
