Is an AP worth it?

I'm moving to Florida in about 2 and a half years, most likely. I want to ask a few annual pass questions.

1) It includes all 4 parks, waterparks, and downtown disney, correct? Does it give you a discount on eating at Downtown Disney or anything?

2) It's almost $339 per person for florida residents. Is it worth buying it? What if you only had one day off per week? Still worth the AP?

3) How long do you have to have lived in Florida to buy it? Do you just need your Florida driver's lisence, and you're set, or do you have to have been in Florida for a certain # of months?

4) Over the past few years, have the prices increased a lot? I'm just trying to see the patterns, predict what they'll cost in 2 years.

5) Does JUST having an annual pass qualify you for the early entry thing only offered to hotel guests? Does it qualify you for E-ride nights or anything, or are they still seperate?

Thanks! I know this is early to ask, but I'm a planner. I'm planning a move for June 2009. I'm so organized.

The regular AP doesn't get you into the waterparks. I don't think it gets you into EMH either, that's for resort guests only.

We are Fl. residents we always get the season pass because we don't care to go the month of July anyway. The cost is $222.00 per adult . Includes all 4 parks hopping. Excludes, Dec.22 to Jan 2, all of June and July and the first part of Aug. We do not care to go during theses times because of crowds and heat. We just got back from spending Dec 16 to Dec 22. We hand a great time. We go about 4 to 5 times a year and find it well worth the cost. Good luck on your move.

I buy an FL annual pass every year. I have been over 70 times this year. It was well worth the money. :)

Seasonal is great if you don't mind missing the parks during the blackout periods. It's also great if you don't mind shelling out $10 for parking every time you visit. Of course, if you're on a budget, the seasonal pass is better than nothing since you can go the majority of the year.

So if you can afford the extra $$ for the regular FL resident AP, it's worth it IMO for the freedom of being able to go to any of the 4 parks any time you want, and for its free parking. All depends how often you plan to go and what you'd like to get out of the passes.

This is right we stay on site with FL residents on the Fl resident rooms rates so that covers parking. The black out days are few. We live in north Fl 7 hours away so we can not go every week. If we did we would still stay with seasonal because of the cost. You can always park at down town Disney if you live close.
