Is all the gold gone off the castle?

Just checking. I am sure someone knows this for a fact. Is all the gold off the castle at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World? I know they finally removed all the 50 decorations in Disneyland, and I was wondering if the same has been done at Disney World.

Yes, all the gold decorations have been removed from the castle.

I was there Wednesday and the top spiral was still gold and there was no sign of the crane anywhere. We thought maybe they were keeping it.

Here is a photo of the castle taken yesterday. A CM at the Camera Center told me that this was the last week for the crane.

We were there last week and the crane was up in the mornings and then by afternoon it was down. So at least we were able to get pictures without it in there.

As a sailor who has had to work up in the masts of war ships, allow me to say my praises for those poor guys in the work basket dangling from the crane. That is the worst way to do any high work.

All the gold is gone except for the towers. The tinsel,mirror,and extra decor was to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.Sine the are starting YOAMD the castle is now refurbished.

I know they're supposed to be repainting it . . . my fear is that it will be under scaffolding when we go in November, right between MNSSHP and MVMCP.
