Is Alaska on the horizon ???

Has anyone heard any somewhat credible inkling that the Alaskan cruise season will be a reality ?? As credible as these uncertain times can provide.

I sure don't want to purchase a plane ticket to Vancouver, only to find out that the sailings won't take place.

Canada has opened the borders so it seems as though they will be able to take place and will hopefully be fully vaccinated as those are currently the requirements to get into Canada.

I'm a pessimist by board standards and I think there is a very good chance of 2022 happening!

We just booked a 2022 Alaskan cruise. Will be watching the next few cruising months closely.

Hopeful it will actually happen but, if not, we also booked Yellowstone lodge / trip as our backup.

Canada is allowing cruise ship activity to resume in November, and the border is currently opened to fully vaccinated travelers. So unless anything changes, there should be a Summer 2022 Alaska cruising season from Vancouver

We are so confident that Alaska will happen on the Wonder from Vancouver in 2022 that we just cancelled our Europe cruise for August 2022 and moved our money and placeholder to an August Alaskan cruise. We're from Vancouver anyway so I like my odds of that cruise sailing vs having to go to Europe and have something happen to that cruise.

We are Canadian and booked with flights and hotels also booked. Right now BC is heavily into a fourth wave but just put in vaccine passports. Hoping it will be under control soon.

I am sticking to the Norway-Iceland-Scotland cruise for now but having Alaska as a backup plan might be something I need to look into!

We're quite upset to have to give that cruise up for sure I'm thrilled my husband agreed to do Alaska again and as he says, 'Europe isn't going anywhere' but I doubt they will offer that same exact itinerary in 2023. Sigh.

We went to Yellowstone this summer. It was AMAZING! I hope our 2022 Alaska cruise does not get canceled, but if it does, you’ve booked a good alternative.

Exact same ports of call - unlikely but as I believe you are aware, DCL usually rotate between a late July Scotland-Iceland-Norway cruise, which usually has two stops in Iceland (which should be the 2023 itinerary) and in reverse in mid-August (probably in 2024). We did the "same" cruise in 2018 and there were 3 different ports
