Is AKL value easy to get?

I notice the point values are the lowest here for any of the onsite Disney properties. Is it difficult to get in?

Thanks!

It can be difficult depending on the time of year. The hardest to get would be Concierge followed closely by Value units, because of the limited number of them and the point savings. It would be kind of like trying to book a unit a VWL in December or BCV/BWV during Food and Wine. Not impossible to book, but they usually go fast and often require the 11-month home resort booking window.

You have 10 2-bedroom lockoff units (each breaking down to 10 1-bedrooms and 10 studios) and 8 dedicated studios.

Oh-Oh. I was afraid that was the case. I just came back from an AKL value studio, and now I want to switch my April/May trip from BCV to an AKL value studio. LOVED it. But it's only six months out, so I'll probably be "stuck" with BCV. Not a bad place to be "stuck" if I am.

I guess I think that at 6 months out you stand a chance.:wizard: Especially if you waitlist. I had a value studio for my March break and gave it up for VWL when my DSis decided to join me. I had booked it 11 months out, but then at 6 months, it became available. People do change, and someone will get it!

I was able to book AKV value studio for the week of spring break for the N.E. (April 15-23 ) ant 6 1/2 months out. BLT lakeview was also available :thumbsup2 I decided to do 4 nights at each.

I booked a value 2 bedroom lockoff at AKV for May 27th to June 4th. The standard rooms were gone at Jambo, but the values were available. Booked this on Monday of this week, which was exactly 7 months out.

Yay, I just got it for late April 6 months out for 9 nights. However, the CM warned me before she did it that there was very limited availability, so there was a chance I'd lose it in the time of trying to transfer. Since I was changing from a BCV reservation, I really held my breath-I was so afraid I'd be left with nothing. So I don't know if I got the last value studio, but at least I got one!

Congrats!!!!:woohoo:

We stayed in a Value last Saturday and I normally get pool view (never requested anything since its a value), but this time we got Savannah View!! We only stayed 1 night before moving over to BCV but it was really great being there for the Giraffe feeding. We also walked the resort that evening and stopped by the night vision viewing:wizard: Could not beat the weekend points for a value room and i was surprised it was available at such short notice(maybe 2 months)

Friends of mine booked a value studio at 7 months for early May (including Mother's Day) and I booked one at 6 months for the weekend after Easter. Honestly a lot of people aren't going to be interested in them - especially those who tend to fill a room. From what I hear a value studio is best for a party of 1-2, not a family of 4!

I just booked our 1 BR AKV Value for May 22-29th on 10/22- exactly 7 months out. Just FYI
