Is AKL over July 4th a mistake?

We are planning our trip and will be flying home 7/6.
We will probably do a split stay, with part at AKL and part at the Swan.
DH wants to end the trip at AKL, but that means we would be there over July 4th.
Should I push to start the trip at AKL and be at the Swan over July 4th? Does it matter?

If you plan to watch the fireworks inside Epcot on the 4th, I'd be sure to stay at the Swan that night and the night before.

I think it depends on your plans for the 4th. Reminder MK does their special fireworks show 7/3 & 7/4, Epcot just does 7/4.

Gah, I thought that MK was *the* place to be on 7/4. But you're saying Epcot works too? Then we could do AKL first, and transition to Swan second. That way we could just do fireworks at Epcot.
My kids are teens so MK is their least favorite park. We will probably only be in MK one day, and ideally it would not be 7/4...
