Is after hours "worth" it at AK?

We've only gone in the early morning - wondering if those of you who have gone in the later afternoon have enjoyed the time there. How late is this park open on the EMH days?

I'm pretty sure they bring all of the animals in for the evening EMH, so its just the non animal attractions to do.
