I was wondering the best deal is going thru AAA or buying hopper passes and getting your own room?? What have you found to be the best way??? Thanks for your help...

You can price it both ways and compare.

There is sometimes a AAA discount available on rooms, but you don't have to use AAA's travel service to get this. You can call Disney direct and ask for a AAA discount. You will be required to show your AAA membership card at checkin (or they may ask for your number over the phone... I can't remember offhand.)

Some AAA locations offer slightly discounted park hopper tickets. You can call your local office and find out these prices. You can also save a little on park hoppers by purchasing them in advance from Disney- either online at www.disney.com or at a Disney store.

There is lots of information about available discounts on both Disney hotel rooms and tickets at www.mousesavers.com - you might find the answers you're looking for there.

I have been a AAA member since the early 70s. I have found that AAA may not always be the best way to go. Do some research using various combinations of room rates and tickets versus packages and see which one is best for you. If you have a good agent at AAA, he or she can sometimes match the best deal you have found. You also must trust the AAA agent you work with. Some have had trouble with the AAA agent they work with. I have had nothing but good luck with the office I use. I have been using them since 1993. To sum up, do your homework.
