Is a white lie ever okay?

What do you think? I have to tell a very good friend a teeny tiny lie and I am feeling bad. But knowing her the way I do I would feel alot worse if I tell her the truth. It's really a big fat nothing, but I am feeling so weird.

Do you think that sometimes a fib is the way to go

I think telling a white lie that causes no harm and protects the person on the receiving end, is okay under certain circumstances.

As a matter of fact, my first (self-made) tag came about this time last year, when people were talking about white lies. Someone said that telling your children that there is a Santa Claus was a lie (white, or otherwise) and shouldn't be done.

Sure. I believe it is better to tells little white lies instead of hurting someone on purpose. Sometimes telling someone the truth can really hurt them and that is senseless.

Now what if I said Miss Jasmine was mean ? Would that be a white lie or a big lie You see Miss Jasmine is nice to me and she can be mean to people who are mean to me But it's okay when she is mean to those who are rude to me, because she is defending the innocent Miss Jasmine is awesome and I Love it when she defends me Anyways if I said Miss Jasmine was mean that would for sure be a lie, because Miss Jasmine is a very nice person
