I own at Vero and have for quite some time. I have loved going there in the past. Typically I have traveled there for only 2-4 nights at a time. It has been at least 10 years since I have used my points there however. I am wondering if some other members might post their thoughts of staying at Vero for a week and things they really liked or didn't like doing when they stayed there.

We are hopefully staying for 5 nights this august, like you wondered if this is too long, will the teenagers get bored?

It's been a long time since we went but we spent 3 nights and thought that was the perfect amount of time. There's not a lot to do at night - the town rolls up the carpet by 9:00. We eat late dinners and found we were "closers" if we went too late. That's never a good time to hit the kitchens. The resort is beautiful but we got bored quickly.

^^ That is my impression of most beach type vacation places. The appeal is mostly the sand/water/beach and sitting in a chair and getting a tan during the day. Depends on what type of vacation you like since every beach area we have ever been to seems that same way.

We too own VBR and love the location and especially the pool area. For us, about 4-5 nights is perfect with any more we start to get restless. If we had a beach bungalow, now that would be different as I'd move right in LOL!

Have fun! :beach:

Plus , isn’t the beach really tiny ?

If you just go to the beach you will be okay. But as others have mentioned, things close early— too early for our taste. We have seen people beating on the locked doors at the quick serve. And I cannot tell you how many times we have been at the green cabin and felt pushed out by the staff— before it was even closing time!

We did 3 nights and it was more then plenty. We could easily do 10 nights at HHI but there is barely a town in Vero to keep you occupied.
This is good to know, my teen son and his BFF love HHI but we are trying Vero this summer for a change. (And selfishly, I want to be there for Tour de Turtles) I ended Up doing 3 nights club level at Jambo house and 3 nights at vero because I was worried they would get bored at Vero 😬

Good call. I think honestly that the community of Vero Beach is primarily a retirement area - so the locals do the Early Bird dining then go home to bed by 9:00. Most places can't sustain staying open later when all the clients are ready for bed by 8:00.

We've always done just two nights in the past, but during our stay last week I told my wife next time we go we should stay a bit longer. Of course, we aren't night life people so closing early doesn't bother us, we're fine watching a movie or tv in the room after dinner. But I've been wanting to go to the McKee Botanical Gardens and haven't done that, plus there's the Seal Museum down at Fort Pierce, and the Treasure museum up in Sebastian. Or go into town and watch a movie at the mall. My wife and daughter did a craft while we were there last and enjoyed that, and I was thinking we could rent bikes one day and drive around a bit.
