Is a short trip worth it?

Definitely think it's worth it. The longest trip I've ever taken was five days, six nights. We never do a park on arrival or departure day. I've also taken plenty of three day, four night trips and am planning one for this upcoming November. Also very rarely eat TS meals. It's all about saving money. Short trips with CS meals allow us to go more often (yes, going less often could allow longer trips but with multiple adults trying to take off work, a longer trip isn't very likely anyway).

If you can afford the transportation costs for a short trip, then sure, it's worth it...we've taken several short (1 or 2 night trips) as well as week-long trips over the last 5 years. All have been wonderful.

If you've gone for a longer trip in the last few years, then a short trip is just a fun "refresher"...no pressure to do-it-all, because you recently did.

Short trip is definately worth it. I've been to Disney for a little as an overnight and up to 9 days. Definately feel it's all about planning and mapping out what exactly you want to do while you are there.

Planning a trip for 4nights/5days in November and already have coordinated what parks to do with meal plan, characters etc. Make sure you get the "hopper" with your ticket. You probably can fit in two parks in one day.

For the first time this coming October I am going for a stay shorter than our normal 7-9 days. Due to a large amount of points left over, we figured we would go for an extended weekend Oct 14-18th. Just relax at the resort, go to the parks 1 maybe 2 days. I am looking forward to it. We are getting in very early on the 14th so that gives us a full day.

In the past I felt I could never justify such a short trip to DW. But we just got back from our long 8 night stay at BLT just 2 weeks ago and already have our long trip for next year all set to go. So why not??

BTW I was looking up air fare and points charts while at the Orlando airport as we were leaving to come home. I was already missing DW too much at that point!:rotfl2:

I think your schedule looks good, and you're making the most of your time. A short trip to WDW is better than no trip at all!!

i was just looking yesterday at my vacation book i made of my bday trip last year. After reading it I was surprised that it was such a short trip. I looked back in my writing and saw that we flew in early Saturday morning, went to Epcot, then MK at night, then Sunday we went to the MNSSHP and MK all day, then Monday we went to DHS til mid afternoon and then flew home. Wow that WAS a short trip, but all i remembered was that i went to disney for my birthday and had a blast. So short trips make just as good of memories! Go for it and have a great time :thumbsup2
