Is a last minute trip practical?

There was a little chatter from my hubby that we might shoot down to Tampa in March, and I would be going to Disney for a few nights.

I'm wondering if this is even possible to plan a "normal" trip? I guess it depends on how flexible I am with things. March seems to have crowd levels of 6 & 7. I don't want to waste my time if I can't do fast pass+. I assume a lot of them are booked with the new online system.

Looking for any words of encouragement :chat:

March can be crowded, but if you plan right it is a great time to go. We went last year in March and are going again this year. Have a great time!

We just decided to do Disney end of March while staying off site and doing other things. It will only be a few days in the parks but I feel it is worth it to be able to go to Disney at all.

I'm a Disney TA so it is kind of killing me to not stay on property and do just Disney and get everything planned in advance so I really can see where you are coming from.

I think our plan of attack will be a good touring plan so that I can make my plan if I want to not take the time to do FP+ it won't be a huge loss. And then again if I want to do the FP+ I can try to arrange it so it makes sense with my touring plan.

I also think going in with a bit of a laid back attitude and choosing what is important to do that day will make a big difference in the enjoyment of your day. I know I'll be taking kids so making sure we prioritize will help.
