... the loudest sound in the world?
:headache:
I can't wait unti lhe finds the piece he's looking for.
;)

OMG, my two son must have at least a trillion Legos and when my oldest bring out his one box I swear the whole neighborhood can hear him digging through them.
I said the same thing to my wife the other day, it's the smallest box he has but it makes the loudest sound!!!

My kids can always find their pieces...BECAUSE THEY DUMP OUT THE GIANT CONTAINER ALL OVER THE RUG...Arrgggghhh:headache:

I wonder if it's as bad as the constant Matchbox smashing and crashing going on behind me?:scared: Good Lord these kids know how to make mommies' heads ache don't they???

how about using the roof pieces from lincoln longs to hit a golf ball to each other across the hardwood floors. Add to that the squealing and screaming that come from the excited to this new found game. I have listened to that for an hour and decided it was time for pjs and a Friday night movie!

An hour?!? You have far more patience than me!:rotfl: We've moved on to "band practice" here with my DS whaling on the drum and DD banging on her metal pans from little kitchen. IS IS BEDTIME YET?!?!?:sad2:

AHHHHHHHH We just got done with the legos! I had 3 kids digging in the box for about an hr too! Now all I hear is "Me HUNGY!!!" So I am off to serve their fine fare of Banquet Chicken Pot Pies! I will have atleast 10 minutes of quite soon as they feast!

OHHH I am soo with you, lol.

Dana

I think treading on them is the worst:scared1:
Our legos days are over (son just turned 18) but I think I still have indentations on my feet from lego, that stuff hurts.

Enjoy the moment, it will soon be past.

For me, it's the GeoTrax Train set. He has a huge container of it and when he digs for a piece it is SO loud. When he dumps it out, it sounds like a car crash. :sad2:

OMG, I was thinking the same thing a little earlier. DS1 was taking a nap and I was trying to catch up on the country music awards that were on the TiVo and DS4 dug and dug in that darn thing for ever! I was afraid he was going to wake up his brother not to mention the fact that I couldn't hear the darn TV. DS just got into legos on our trip to Disneyland last month so it's only just beginning for me. :scared1:

Holy cow i thought I was the ONLY PERSON THAT FELT THIS WAY!!! My son has thousands of those little tiny legos and what i hate is through all his digging he asks: " Hey mom do you know where the(whatever lego piece he wants) is?"
Like how should I know?! They all look the same to me!:rotfl2:

LOL! I know what you mean! My DS has a tote of lego pieces & dumps them all over his floor. We bought a vinyl tablecloth for him to dump them on to make cleanup easier, but does he use it?!?!?!

That's why DDs keep theirs by hubby's desk and not mine. ;) He did just decide it was time to sort them into individual tubs by color to reduce the rummaging. Considering he's Mr. Monk, it took him long enough! We now have a row of plastic containers in rainbow order on the floor by the desk.

ETA: I knew someone on a message board once whose name was "steppedonalego"

I never stepped on a lego but I once sprained my ankle on a Thomas train!

The most annoying sound I've heard lately was about 6 weeks ago when my 10 year old son got his clarinet. He hadn't had a lesson yet but couldn't wait to take it out and play it. So my mom who used to play showed him how to put it together. Oh my gosh the sound that came out of that thing!:scared1:
But I must say that after only 6 lessons at school, he's developed a very nice tone. And he's already passed 3 songs. I think I have a little musician on my hands!

At least the boys aren't really into legos anymore!:)

Speaking of band: DS12 plays percussion. He moved up from the Trombone.:cool1: which was the loudest, instrument, with a huge, annoying sound! Percussion, unbelievably is much better!

Okay I soo love this idea!!! I have a bunch of those table clothes in the cabinet, I am getting one out today! It is worth a shot!

When I was younger, I played the drums and my little sister played the violin...without any lessons, we decided we could totally teach ourselves!:scared1:

My dad finally BUILT us a building out back so we could practice in silence...of course, two months later we gave the instruments up!

Ooh lucky! I don't know how my guy will be, but my youngest brother is, oh, 22 now, and he is possibly even more into Legos than he was as a kid! We tried to urge him to become a Lego Master, but he doesn't think he's good enough.

We now have a row of plastic containers in rainbow order on the floor by the desk.

That is very cool. What a good idea!

I can totally relate!!!!!!!!!!!:headache: In fact, thats what my kids are playing with right now!!!!!!!!!!!:scared:

I HATE LEGOS!!!!!!!!!!!

I get that every day! What makes him think I would know? :headache:
