Is a family suite worth it?

Hi,
We are going Sept. 2013 and heavily considering a Cars suite at AoA. It will be myself and husband, with a Cars crazy 4 year old and a 22 month old. We think the extra room of the suite will be great with the two young kids, but is it really worth the money? I figure we could always go look around the outside of the resort for the awesome Cars themeing and stay at ASMovies in a Toy Story room -where my 4 year old would probably just as thrilled and save some major bucks. We could even stay at a moderate for cheaper than AoA! This is all of our first trip and we don't know when we'll get back, we want to make it amazing for our kids but still be able to pay the mortgage when we get back! I'd love any thoughts.
Thanks!

For the 4 of you, I'd say to avoid AoA and save the money. The extra room would not be worth what you pay for the room unless you do an LM room. 7 of us recently stayed at AoA and it was perfect for us with lots of extra room. Pics of my room are available here somewhere.

I don't think it's worth it. We Are a family of 5, kids 9 and 5 last time we went ans stayed in one room at Port Orleans Riverside (unfortunately not an option for 5 to a room anymore ). It was good enough to sleep, rest up and get ready. Even had room for stuffed mickeys and pluton on beds. We found that the idea of going back to room sounds great but we preferred being at parks to losing a few hours. Unless you plan on staying in room a half day at a time and avoiding parks don't think the extra space is needed.

How is it not an option anymore? We just stayed last November and I can still book it now....

I booked a suite at ASMu for me and my nephew...9 at the time. Totally worth it. :goodvibes. Then again, I like my space.

There are 5 of us and we need breathing room so we went with a suite. Even if we just had 2 kids, we'd probably get a suite.

sure it is :) It's usually our resort of course if we can't afford to do 2 rooms somewhere else

I think we actually might wind up at Caribbean Beach! The pools look so great and I know we will have at least one afternoon when we get in that we won't be going to the parks. We could even do one of the pirate rooms and still be cheaper than a family suite. Any opinions on the pirate rooms?

I will let you know in about 7 weeks :)

I have a family of 5 (kids are 5, 3, and 20 months). We were going to cram into one room at ASMo and I do like that resort very much, but even with one kid...there just isn't lots of room to move around. Because my kids are very active and because AoA looks so awesome we broke the bank and booked. I'm thinking it will be worth it, especially with the covered bus stops, interior hallways and zero entry pool...but I will post a detailed report upon my return.

Have an awesome trip! I hadn't even thought about the interior hallways....too many decisions, I am driving myself crazy with all of my price comparisons :rotfl2:

I think get a family suite at ASMo! It's cheaper and just as fun. They really go all out on the toy story theme. I really like the family suites at the all stars. Lot's of room and the kitchen is great!
