areweindisneyyet, that is great advice thank you so much

I figure on my maths so far I'm ahead by a bit and thats not counting the stuff you mentioned. It just seemed a bit too easy to save money on a nice trip. I was worried I was missing something that was obvious to everyone else.
I know it can be much cheaper to stay off site, 2 years ago we got a room at a hotel I can't even remember the name of it now (I've blanked it out as it was so awful

, it did only cost about $60 a night though so to be expected

) as we had a number of unexpected expenses come up a month before we left and my DH was made redundant and didn't want to waste money by going, I refused to cancel the whole thing as we'd booked 14-day park hoppers, air fares, insurance, etc, and I knew he could get another job easily (which he did within a month of our return

) I booked a cheap good neighbour hotel. It was so dirty - really filthy, furthest room away from the front of the hotel and no lights to get there and just didn't feel safe - it was the closest room to the foody section where PF changs is however they'd chained that section off so we had a 15 minute walk to get to the restaurant section rather than the 2 minute experience that would have made it a bit less of a let-down, and really dodgy sales guys - one of whom told us he had brain damage which affected his memory and would every day try to get us to go along to this time-share sales demonstration for a $100. We went the first day (we were broke and it bought lunch at the blue bayou!) and realised how dodgy it was and after that just said we'd already been and the tout would tell us he had a short term memory brain damage and didn't know he'd already talked to us. He was to be honest, lovely and pretty funny, but I thought the company hiring him was pretty rude, I was almost tempted to go along each day just for the $100 (we were really broke at the time

) but really didn't want to miss getting on to the Tower of Terror as quickly as possible. It all detracted from the experience. I want to make this a completely different experience as I've saved hard to afford it this time around
I've just checked the gay day rates for 2013 and they are actually in the first week of October which is a bit late, my youngest brother is getting married in thailand around then so we were hoping to make it a round trip plane ticket.
I'm so excited about this trip
