Is a car seat for certain at Sci-Fi?

We have an ADR for Sci-Fi during free dining and was wondering does this quarentee us a seat in the cars? I know that they have regular tables and so, and I figure that during free dining that they will extremely packed, needing to utilize those tables. I certainly would'nt pay to eat here unless I can get a car.

There are only a few tables, which I want to say were added bc of ADA. The cars do not meet ADA guidelines. I would say you have really really good chance of sitting in a car. This is one of my fav places and our traditions. We eat at SCi Fi every visit, have always gotten to sit in a car. : )

They will ask you when you check in if a table is okay. We were willing to wait a little longer for the car. Just make sure that you tell them at check in that you want the car. If you are a large party they may sit you at a table no matter what. I think the largest number of people that the car will hold is maybe 6. (We were only 4 so I'm not really sure.)

The cars hold six and you can definitely make sure at check-in that you have one. We've eaten there several times - once with five, once with three, twice with two and have always gotten a car without even asking about it.

the only time we didn't get a car was when we needed a high chair the person who seated us said they couldn;t do them at the cars... last time we were there we saw high chairs pulled up to the side of cars... so either they changed the rule or someone was wrong

We too booked Sci-Fi because of the car seating. We have a party of 6 and this is our 1st time there so we want to make sure to get a car seat. LOL

I have eaten there twice. Once we were in a car and once in one of the back tables. They asked us ahead of time if we minded sitting at a table or if we wanted to wait for a car. I assume they would do this for you also. I must say though that the table was much better. We didn’t care about watching the movie and wanted to have a conversation so the table worked for us. If you want to watch the movie (or distract kids with it) then just wait a little longer for the car if they ask.

ACK - that hot dog jumping into the bun is classic! Almost the same thing that is playing behind John Travolta when he is singing "Sandy" in Grease.

They asked us if we wanted whatever opened first or if we wanted to wait for a car. I said we'd take whatever opened up first...and we got a car anyway! One thing to know, although it may be a small consolation, is that the tables are sandwiched between a hood and bumper. Not quiet the same, but at least they aren't just tables sitting in the back!
