Is a CAMPFIRE all that important?

"and this one time in band camp":lmao: just kidding.
seriously, who says it has to be cool outside? We one had a campfire and it was still 80-90 degrees outside in the eveining !!! (One of the hottest days on record and had to stop showering in order to repel the mosquitos) We had a fire and watched Austin Powers movie outside! Totally one of the best and stinkyest memories we've made!
Love a campfire but never miss it at FW. Generally to tired to stay up any later than necessary!

How can you tell you've been camping if the smell of the campfire isn't revitalized the 1st and 2nd shower you take at home when the hot water hits your hair, giving you that last aural connection to the good times just had?:rotfl2:

I love campers that start a fire in the morning, and leave it smouldering and smoking all day. At regular intervals they go and toss some more stuff that they have scavenged around the camp site and put that on it. Even if you don't have your own fire you come home smelling like you did. I like that smell but only if its my fire with my hot dogs on the sticks. I don't m iss it at Disney.

Enough cold beers with that toasty campfire and the smoke just isn't so noticeable. I don't think I'll miss it as much at Disney because it is warmer there. We need the fire when we camp around here.
