Is a 7 month early December reservation tough to get?

We are looking at the week of December 6. December is iffy for my job on how busy we will be but by May I should know if it's certain we can visit.

We really don't care where we stay, we just love Florida in the winter. However, this year I was hoping to surprise the BF with a savanna view at AKV as he loves giraffe. Early present

What is usually available at 7 months out for December?

(the short answer is that anything other than OKW and SSR is pretty iffy for early dec - it's the most busy time for DVC bookings.)

You could book your home resort now for that week and then either cancel if the dates won't work with your schedule or if they do, try to change at 7 months.

There are successes, so don't be afraid to try or use the waitlist.

Thank you for the replies. The whole wait list thing is uncomfortable. I just like to book and be done.

I'll give it a whirl and if I can't go or we can't book AKV in December, we are a definite for January so I can try then!

I booked in late September this year. I had to waitlist and I was worried but I had it all at the same resort by the end of October. I was stressed about it at first but after checking online and seeing how much things open up and change on a daily basis, It wouldn't bother me to try again.

We booked at the 7th month mark in 2014 and were able to secure a 2 bedroom at AKL savanna view. Good luck!!!
