I tried to get an earlier reservation but all that was available was 5:45pm. I know the party starts at 7:00pm. Is this time too late or do you think we will be out in an hour? It is just 2 adults. This will be our first time having dinner at LLT. Should I try for someplace else? Thanks everyone !!!!!:banana::banana:

I wouldn't bother with a TS meal that close to the start of the party. If you have to wait to be seated, you won't be out in time for the start of the party. When we went to MVMCP a few years ago, I think one of the shows started before the 7:00 PM official starting time. We ate at the Plaza once before MNSSHP and it took forever! We felt like we missed a chunk of party time eating dinner. Now we do TS at lunch and CS for dinner on party nights.

I wouldn't do a TS at 5:45 either. Last year we went to Whispering Canyons for lunch and then went to MK. I think the Castle lighting was at 6:00...you don't want to miss anything, the time goes by so fast. :goodvibes

I dont know if you know this or not but you can get into the park at 4pm. with the MVMCP tickets. Also I am not sure what LLT is, but if its at another park you will be later than 7pm you have to figure in travel times.

We go to MNSSHP or MVMCP every year (this year we are going to both!) and every year I make a ressie at one of the MK TS restaurants before the party. We go to the park about 4:00 and go to one of the attractions that will not be open later and then go to dinner. We have done this for over 10 years and it has always worked out great.

This year we have a 5:30 ressie for CRT before MNSSHP and a 5:45 ressie for LTT before MVMCP. Unless you are determined to be running around doing something for the entire party time, I would say to keep your current reservation.

Doesnt the party start at 7pm? I have a 5:45 ressie at Crystal Palace so I hope that gives us enough time for the party to begin. Even with a wait time to be seated, I figure that a buffet is generally quicker

We typically do a TS lunch the day of the party and just do CS for dinner. I want to be free to do whatever, whenever that evening.

Officially it starts at 7:00. If you are only going for the party and are not already in MK on that day you can enter the park at 4:00. The Castle lighting is not just for the party it is for regular guests too and I believe that is at 6:00. The first Twas the Night Before Christmas starts right at 7:00 and people will start lining up for that way ahead of time. You will make it by 7:00 with your reservation...it's just that there is so much to do some people like to go see the first TTNBC and have that taken care of.

This was last year's schedule: :santa:

Thanks for the info! That definitely eases my concerns since I can always catch a later showing of Twas the Night Before Christmas Show in case if my dining stay at CP runs longer than 7pm. As for the ceremonial lighting of the tree, I figure I can catch it on a day prior to my date for the party before we have to head out of the park.

Last Dec. we had a very short trip...just 3 days. One for DHS, Epcot & then the party for MK. We went to see the monorail resorts in the morning, then over to Wilderness lodge & lunch at WC. We were first in line to enter MK at 4:00 so we could get as much done as possible. We loved it!!! :santa:

This is interesting. We have a 5:45pm ADR for CRT before our MVMCP. I may look for a earlier ADR for around the 4 o'clock hour. However if there isn't anything, then of course we will deal with our time.

I was wondering how long Liberty Tree Tavern took as well. Originally I was going to go w/ CRT for dinner but at 7:20p during the Christmas party. I wanted a later meal since we fly in around midnight the night before and I thought we would need to sleep in and just have a light breakfast in the room and maybe a later counter service lunch. But everyone said that I should not waste party time at CRT so I thought I would go with LTT at 8pm, thinking the meal might go quicker that CRT. But people seem to say to go with counter service to free up time during the party. We are under the dining plan so that means we will have to double-up on table service one of our following 2 days before we move over to another resort where we won't be on the dining plan.

I booked CP for 5:45 on our party night. We have been there DOZENS of times so if we don't see all of the characters that is fine. DS is 13 - he can skip Pooh & friends if necessary. :rotfl: We just like the variety and location of CP.

I am not worried about making it out by 7 PM on the dot, but most likely we WILL be finished by 7 PM. :)

What time do they start the "snow"? I think it would be magical to eat at either Tony's or the Plaza and walk out into the "snow" on Main Street:santa:
I was actually considering eating at one of the monorail resorts before we go to the party, but that will all depend on what time I can get an ADR for that night. Thinking of either 1900 or CM if we could. Does anyone know how early they start ADRs for either of those?

We always eat at California Grill as close to 5:30 as possible before the party. Do we miss the first little bit of the party? yes. But you get to see the castle lighting from the dining room, and we never run out of time at the party so it's not like we're losing out on much if anything.

In years past they have had early showings of Wishes for the day guests before they cleared out of the parks before the party, but they didn't last year, and looks like they will not this year either. It was nice seeing those fireworks from CG, then the castle lighting, then having an awesome meal, then going to MVMCP. But it seems like those early wishes shows have been eliminated.

That was approximately the time we ate at LTT for our MVMCP night last year. We didn't miss any of the special shows/parade/etc. We were seated on time I believe, but I felt the meal took a little long (about 1.5 hours). The absence of the characters might shorten the meal for you, though.

Twas the night before christmas probably will not happen this year or ever. they tore down the Galaxy Palace Theater where the show was held. There are rumors that they are refurbishing the stage where the new/retired Stitch show was held. But as another poster stated, we won't know until they release more details.

this year we are eating at Crystal Palace at 6pm on the night we attend MVMCP. Should be done by 7pm.
