Is 7624 a 'true' Nav. Verandah?

Is stateroom 7624 a true Navigator's Verandah or is it one of those used to be category 6's but switched to category 7 classification?

We have a Category 7 booked for our next cruise, but wanted a real Navigator's Verandah, not an open-air verandah.

Thanks for your information in advance!

Stateroom 7624 is a traditional Navigator's Verandah, not Category 5 or Category 6 that was reclassified in recent years.

However, all Navigator's Verandahs are open-air verandahs. They're just a little less open than other verandahs.

As you can tell by the taglines on the side of my message, 7624 is the best room on the ship. It is a real navigator's verandah and the room is in a perfect location!

Okay, I might be biased, because I took part of my honeymoon in that room and then again with my husband on another cruise, then one more time with my daughter on her first cruise. We didn't have it for only one of our crusies, and that was because it was already booked!

I say that you can't go wrong with it!

WOW! I would definitely say that you like that stateroom! :earboy2: We are excited about the navigator's verandah as it looks really nice. We've cruised twice in a 5 and do like the openness of these types of verandahs, once in a 9 and once in an 8. Our daugher will be almost a year and a half for this next cruise and we think it might be good to have the shadier style verandah, but still the fresh air coming through. Also, we've always had staterooms either forward or midship. We are really looking forward to being aft as it will be easier to sneak up to Topsiders and bring it back to our stateroom. We love trying something new!
Thanks for your input!

Oh I am so jealous! If only we didn't want connecting staterooms with our friends we could have it too in October! :)

We had 7624 in 2003 and 7622 in 2001 and liked it. In 2004 we had a Cat 11 in teh same area (Won it a the Who wants to be a Mouseketeer-Show). We then realized that we didn't miss the verandah that much, but we missed the split bathroom. So for our 2006 cruise we have a Cat 9 with a porthole and a split bathroom on deck 2. Deck 7 Aft is a great location as you have short ways to Topsiders, Parrot Cay and Animator's Palate and to the pools without having to wait for the elevators.
Deck 2 has the advantage that going to shore is a lot quicker - And teh amount of money saved is another reason.
But you won't regret cruising in 7624.

How exciting, we have 7624 on our Sept. 06 cruise. I have been searching for any information on this room and man did I find it. We have only had cat 11 on our past cruises and are looking forward to a room with a view. Plus the idea of drinking my morning coffee out there is a slice of heaven to me. Thanks for all the reviews! :wave2:

Are there any rooms with the Navigator's Verandah that are connecting? We had connecting Cat. 6 rooms for our 3 night cruise last summer and would love to try a 7 night cruise in 2006, but every time I price it for 4 people in connecting rooms with a verandah, the price takes my breathe away. I really, really, really enjoyed my verandah last time and don't want to cruise without one (I'm kind of claustrophobic), so I'm wondering if a Nav. Verandah would be a possibility.

Let's see if this works.

Here are a few pictures of the balcony and one of a towel animal on the bed. I know I have better room pictures somewhere, but I am not sure where they are at the moment!

Yes they do. We have connecting Cat 7's (on deck 6) on our May '03 cruise we took with my in-laws.

Great! Thanks for letting me know. That should save us a little bit of money!

Can you tell me about the bed(s) in 7624? What type it is. (king, queen)
It will only be my husband and I, but we like our space. Thanks for your answers!

They can be two twin beds, or the CMs can put it together and make one double.

My husband and I found it to be perfect!
