This is from my trip report from last September.
A quick check of the time and we realize it's time to eat. At least it's almost time for our ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe. This is a must do for me. Ever since my first trip to MGM, when we had PS for Sci-Fi, and when we arrived, it was locked tighter'n a drum. So we went across the street to PTC, and I've never looked back.
Our server, Sherry, was a no longer young auntie from Long Island. She was a little gruff. Ok, she was bossy. But sweet. And busy. If you've read Lord of the Rings, she'd remind you of Butterbur, owner of the Prancing Pony, one of the many things lost in the movies. Best quote, "I run and run, but there's never any less of me." Sherry never slowed down. She also never forgot to be funny.
Just before dessert, we got a rather stern warning about my elbows being on the table. Sherry let us know it was our only warning. In the middle of dessert, Sherry comes by and Goofy, who's a little hard of hearing, was propped on his elbows. Sherry makes him get up and sing I'm a Little Teapot, doing the hand motions. She did sing with him. It was obvious most of the cousins had been waiting for someone to get punished in this way. Goofy rarely gets a hand that big when he sings karioke IRL. He still thinks I set him up. Nope, Sherry just knows how to pick them.
Does that help?
