We havent booked airfare yet or anything but is 500 dollars more all together worth it for one more night on a ship? It would be 1755 for a 4 night cruise for two in a category nine room while the 3 night would be 1230. Any help is truly appreciated.

** ALSO can we expect the weather to be bad in August in the bahamas? Any help is appreciated :earboy2:

Both the 3-night and the 4-night cruise will go by very quickly. Personally, I would take the 3-night and use that extra $500 for a couple of days at Disney when I got back. Best of both worlds that way!

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful time.

look at it this way, i am positve no i gurantee it will help, do the 3 night, beacuse you will definitely go back again, no doubt, then next time do the 4 night, then te time after that do the 7, then the rest, it really doesn't matter because your gonna go again, see

I think it is worth it. Here is why-the fourth day is a sea day-very relaxing after 3days of activities. For example, on the 3day your last day is Castaway Cay. Then you are back onboard, dinner, show, pack. It is a bit of a drag.
The four day is not a rushed. The sea day can be as full or lazy as you wish.

The $500 is sooo worth it!

My family and I have done both the 3 and 4 (twice) night cruise. They both feel very short. If you have never have been on a cruise before, a three nighter may not be a bad way to go. But I don't think you will regret doing the four night and spend a little extra money. We enjoyed the full day at sea, it is a very relaxing day.

We just did a land/sea vacation last year in late August (between HURICANES); got lucky). It was very, very hot. We had one good rain shower while in Nassau; Castaway Kay was very, very hot but sunny the whole day. Our full day at sea ended up just outside another port (never docked) because of a medical emergency; it was hot and sunny.

Sorry, forgot about the weather question. OK-August in Florida and the Bahamas means almost daily thunderstorms, in the late afternoon. Also, you run the risk of having an itinerary change due to a hurricane. And it is very hot!! I'm talking 90's every day.

Use the $500.00 for a deposit for a 7 day while on the ship .
this will get u 10 percent off the next cruise and a $200.00 on board credit.
only really costing you $300.00 out of pocket for the next Bill at the end of the cruise . :D

Peter-
GREAT idea! Donaldsgirl- or if you have the extra $500 to spend, you could do a "loaded" 3 night...meaning have a massage, enjoy a few bottles of wine, do a great excursion....get some extras you wouldn't normally do; but I think the best suggestion would be to do the 3 night, book on board and get ready for your next cruise in a year or two! :cool1:

I'm in the minority here. I would definitely spend the extra money to do the 4 night. We did the 3 night (after 4 nights at WDW) and it was too much to see and do in that amount of time. I felt like we were always running.

Thats what I was thinking that maybe the three night cruise be better so we could spend the money on excursions and massages and to actually make sure we are going to love it and if so book a 7 night one while onboard for a later time.

Thanks everyone as I am in a bind here and confused :earboy2:
