Is 417 is faster & better then taking 528 - Interstate 4 when driving to WDW?

I'm planning to use 417 for my trip in January. Can I hijack this thread a little? Are there gas stations near the airport when you return on 417?

Yeah, go south on Boggy Creek rather than north to the airport. There is a Circle K gas station about a mile.

Great to know. :thumbsup2 We've usually stopped an exit or so before that...maybe OBT?

Thanks.

I would suggest calling 511 from your cell phone when you land. Check on the 528 and I-4 (say Disney for the section you want) and if they're both clear, you're good to go. I drive I-4 every day and I would say most of the time it's not bad down in that area. There are definitely certain times to avoid it (like Friday evening) but unless there's an accident or it's rush hour, I usually don't have problems with it.

I like driving thru the country on the 417. You can actually enjoy the trip.

herc.

I always take 536 to 417 on my way to the airport and there's a 7-11 on 536 just before you get on 417. I think there's also a Hess opening a little further down 536.

The Hess Station is now open. It is right at the traffic light before you go onto 417.

What do you do if you don't have exact change? I have always been curious of that (luckily I always have had the change...)...
