Based on the Spring Break price we currently have with our room only reservation at the Poly, I believe eliminating the cost of three nights would save us $1,500 and the tickets required would cost $1,000. As a result, we'd save $500 PLUS have four MYW base tickets left over because we'll use our APs for park admission. Those tickets could be used on a later visit or applied to a future AP.
Not sure how the math works out with a moderate or a value, but at a deluxe it looks like it would save me money and leave me with tickets to boot.
It could be, but you would have to put the no expiration option on the tickets and hold on to them. Personally I consider Disney tickets akin to money in the bank because they only increase in value and with the no exp. option, they don't go bad. Take a look at the offer and decide whether you want to make a future investment in park tickets.
Correct me if I'm wrong...... but I think that MYW tickets from packages can be saved for future use WITHOUT adding the No expiration option as long as they had not been used? If the OP has an AP they wouldn't use the ticket that came with the package.

No it won't. Go for the AP rate or FL resident rate. For a value resort you can get a room during regular season for $69 a night rack rate (which you will pay with the 5/2 offer) is $105 a night. So for 7 days (paying for 5 on the offer) is $525 plus tax and with the FL or AP rate it would be $483 plus tax. So the deal would not work for you, I am only showing the prices of the rooms, I didn't include the price of tickets. With Mods and Deluxe you would save money over the AP/FL rate but its only like $50 and considering you have to buy general rate 4 day tickets for everyone in your party its not worth it. The tickets are about $240 per adult and $205 for kids 3-9.
