I bought two 30 in pullmans. Standard suitcase, nothing fancy about them. Are they considered oversize?

Not sure how to measure them. Our carrier says anything over 62 in. is oversize.

Not concerned about the weight - only the size.

Anybody know?

TIA!

Stand it up. You would measure both directions and then front to back, including wheels & handles. Add up the 3 measurements.

I have a 29", it's 29 + 20 + 11 = 60

PP told you how to measure. Think of measuring a box your pullman exactly fits in. That means the handles, wheels and pockets that protrude when packed count.

Closeout places like Marshalls frequently have "great" deals on luggage that's considered over sized by airlines.

Some of the older suitcases can weigh 15-20 lbs empty. It will be very easy to pack your bag over 50 lbs.

Will both bags fit in a rental car trunk? Won't matter if you're using DME but you might be using your luggage on other trips.
